Re: Match thread v Eagles
While we are lacking a bit of polish, west coast are pretty s***.
Such a bunch of soft front runners, not interested in laying a tackle.
Gaff, shuey, Wellingham, Cripps, hill, masten, butler - whole lot of soft right there.

Do you think that's why he's fumbling more than a 14 year old trying to unclip a bra. Sorry but wont cop that excuse.sunsaint wrote:could it be that he is trying carry the whole backline?8856brother wrote:Dempster for the 2nd week running looks like he's seen a ghost.

What is it with that f****** no2 umpire. This is crap.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

I was talking about Tim Watson confusing our players. I thought that's what you meant.magnifisaint wrote:What does that mean?Scollop wrote:If you're talking about whispy's commentary, I think the drugs saga has stressed him out to the point where he has NO -eFFn -Idea8856brother wrote:Billings kicking?
Basically, the 7 commentary team is crap. Tim Watson and Basil Semplis keep stuffing up players names/numbers

Re: Match thread v Eagles
that free against hickey was more crap
then one ump tries to argue out of an obvious on the full

Not watching the game but following on internet. So question to the people watching. I've noticed our free kick difference between our opponents seems to be vastly against us. Seems a trend this year. I think the games when we are close or have won the difference is minimal. So it seems umpires are having a huge effect on our results. So is it a luck thing or is it our technique? I mean are we bad at understanding the rules? Just seems a bit of an area we need to improve on. I maybe that one-eyed supporter, blinded. I'd be interested if it's just me seeing this or it is a trend with the clubs lower on the ladder. Could be luck that the umpire misses most of the lower teams frees but sees the perceived better team ones.
P.S. 7min mark of last quarter 10 us 20 them.

They can see the lightest brush as a free the Eagles way and we need to be sent to hospital to get the same call. The AFL has a real problem.

If you mean they are not as accomplished as players who've been playing for 5 or 6 seasons, and lack the consistency of battle hardened players in a solid, mostly unchanging, team environment, then I'd agree. All those players just need more experience.Freebird wrote:IMO dunstan hickey newnes longer membrey templeton are a long way from being afl statndard then you have dempster who does some great things but also many fumbles turnovers ets
