That's who I was thinking also. Which would open a nice little spot for Acres.

Re: No change v Crows
Shenton would be the perfect replacement. One ball butcher for another ball butcher
Re: No change v Crows
Shenton is no where near as good as Geary defensively and think he could be slaughtered by Betts. If Geary is a late replacement you would have to bring in Acres and play someone else on Betts.

Not there yet I think...lucasro wrote:Roo didn't train today. Both Templeton and Shenton did train.

Isn't Simpkin still with us? I could be wrong though...bergholt wrote:Round 4 2012SaintPav wrote:When was the last time we had no team changes?
Steven, Jones, McEvoy, Hayes, Montagna
Riewoldt, Geary, Newnes, Goddard, Gilbert
Armitage, Koschitzke, Dempster, Fisher, Dal Santo
Blake, Stanley, Simpkin, Milera, Polo, Cripps, Milne
9 of those guys are still with us.

Hope not...Eddie would slaughter him as he plays loose.Beno88 wrote:Shenton the obvious emergency to come in if Geary doesn't play.
I would move Newnes or Weller to defense to play on Eddie..though DMack probably has the right temprement.....or use Dempster, and bring in Acres to run through the midfield.

FYI for the season Geary disposal efficiency is 74.1 , just behind nat fyfe!!
Idiot supporters who just pick a player and go at him , no matter what.

Slow down turbo.. It's an opinion of a player I don't really rate and never have. I don't care what the stats say my eyes show me that he turns it over when he tries to move it forward.. Anyone can get the disposal efficiency up by kicking it backwards and sideways.. He has good traits obviously,he is tough and courageous but that's as far as it goes in my opinion..terry smith rules wrote:Thanks for your input and support, now just quietly disappearHallalj#3 wrote:Newnes hasn't been all that impressive this season.. Hopefully the time will come when Geary can no longer make our team. He is a shocking butcher of the ball and if you can't dispose of the ball you shouldn't play. Just pray that Shenton never plays for us again. Last year at times we had CJ, Shenton, Gilbert and Geary running around for us. With Delaney and Dempster close by. My God, more butchers in that team than at the Vic market.

I don't know about the rest, but Geary and Shenton never played together last year.#gosaintas wrote:Hopefully the time will come when Geary can no longer make our team. Why is his disposal efficiency 74% then?#gosaintas wrote:Hopefully the time will come when Geary can no longer make our team. He is not the strongest kick but that stats suggest he plays within his limitations. Which is a good asset
