Re: Match day thread. Saints v Bombers
That Dempster kick straight to Heppell was a shocker. Cost us a goal.
Maybe two because we had momentum.

Hickey has been the only negative... We really need him to become an option up front.

People who are taping the game need to get a screen capture of Fletcher at the end of the second quarter
he lifts his jumper to reveal a bruised injection spot on his right ab... there's one for essendope fans to rejoice

Get Schneids off and get Acres on.

Re: Match day thread. Saints v Bombers
Disappointed in the backs- Fisher, Dempster and Savage are giving their opponents waaayyy too much room to move. Coach needs to tell players to get rid of the ball quickly, too slow by foot and hand. Hickey will benefit from this run, DMac all at sea and may get subbed for Acres. Lonie and Sinclair all class. Seems to be an all out attack strategy, but I think AR has forgotten the defensive game. Top effort to lead at half time against the substance injectors. Just need to play direct and forwards need to defend better.

As long as we don't get blown away in the second half. Keep Carlscum below us.

They are still getting the calls their way. We would be up by 5 goals if they weren't keeping them in it.

Are you watching on TV.? Surely there's more chance of seeing Hird on TV. I haven't seen him from level 3 on the other side.Bunk_Moreland wrote:Amazing how competitive we are when the umpires are fair

Re: Match day thread. Saints v Bombers
Dunstan needs to stop being so hungry at kicking for goal (and also Lonie). Give it to a player in a better position and first option. It's a team sport son.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Can see the Bummers pulling away in victory. Saints will tire.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Hickey supposedly has massive hands. Needs to start holding his marks.
