A Hypothetical on tonight's game
So, what if we happen to be all over the pies and leading by 6 goals early in the final term.
Do we 1. Put our qeues (spellcheck) in the rack with an eye on the much hyped match next weekend in NZ.
Or 2. Go for the throat and show some killer mentality and finish off the match in uncompromising style knowing its a friday night clash at the g against a side that everyone wants to smash.
I for one would keep the f#@king foot down and instill some mongrel and killer instinct into our young players.
But thats me, thoughts?

Re: A Hypothetical on tomorrow night
False choice.
We grind them into the ground. Blues will s*** themselves facing us as they aren't very good and led by a dinosaur who hasn't got Stevie Milne to tickle his indignance gland.
They beat us last year, who didn't? They will not be so lucky this year.

We'd end up losing if we did that.

Re: A Hypothetical on tomorrow night
Who do we think we are? If we are up that much we keep going. Why would we worry about a game 8 days later when we finished bottom last year. I think last weeks result has given false hope to some on here.

If we miraculously had the game in the bag at 3qtr time, then it prob would be wise to rotate the older guys off, Schneider & Fisher are both playing well, but a high risk of injury... But it's s fanciful scenario.

If the game's in the bag at 3/4 time then at least it should help avoid a crush at the Brunton Ave Myki gates

I'm actually torn as to who to tip. If I was objective I'd probably go with pies but I find it hard to go past us when we're a real chance.
Any guidance...?

When its close go with the heart if just footy tipping. If you want to bet on the outcome though back the pies then you cant lose. If we ever play in a GF again I will have one thousand on the opposition. Im certainly prepared to lose that much for us to finally win one.

Go for percentage to set up a finals campaign!
(Can't see us being 6 goals up at 3/4 time, just quietly).

I think Tony's just referring to the sh*t storm he inadvertently created in the other thread....saintspremiers wrote:Go ontony74 wrote:I ain't saying nothing.

Keep the pressure up so Josh gets his tenth and eleventh in the last and to ensure Lukey gets 2 Brownlow votes instead of one

Even though we have picked a better side. Going to be hard to tell players to save energy for next week.

I am reading into tony saying nothing that he has nothing to say or that he doesn't want to say anything.Bunk_Moreland wrote:Dr Spaceman wrote:It's what you're not saying that says a lottony74 wrote:I ain't saying nothing.

Say he did say something? What would that say about the situation?
No; Tony is not saying anything.
Let's leave all that saying stuff to the late Michael Jackson

Re: A Hypothetical on tomorrow night
And Macca! Well, not the late Macca. Though if you believe he died on November 24 1966 ( we were Premiers!) then he will be the late Macca. Though not the real Macca just his substitute William Campbell who apparently had Jacko fooled!Dr Spaceman wrote:I am reading into tony saying nothing that he has nothing to say or that he doesn't want to say anything.Bunk_Moreland wrote:Dr Spaceman wrote:It's what you're not saying that says a lottony74 wrote:I ain't saying nothing.

Re: A Hypothetical on tonight's game
Our only game on the Friday night 'big stage.' I find it very hard to believe we wouldn't be pulling out all stops to win or at least get very close, irrespective of the promotional value of next week's game.

Re: A Hypothetical on tonight's game
I cannot believe that people think we are tanking from what tony74 posted on another thread.
I just went outside and I am sure the sky is falling so tonights game wont even matter
