All day the commentators have loved the Saints. Probably a bit too much, basically because Gerard Healy is in the box. Very one-sided commentary.mullet wrote:plenty to like about this team says the commentator. Fantastic to hear

Vintage Saints display and a nice 300 from the TAB. What a night.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

not sure if it was one sided or not , but its just great to hear them talking positive about our team instead of laughing at us or even pitying usbergholt wrote:All day the commentators have loved the Saints. Great win, and dare I say good coaching. Looked very tired at the end and hope they recover well for next week.
So much for those who said we wouldn't win a game.
We might not win many games, but this win gives us something to look forward to.
I hope this is the start of a great ride.

Definitely one-sided - it's just harder to notice when it's one-sided in favour of us! But I agree that it's much easier to listen to like that.mullet wrote:not sure if it was one sided or not , but its just great to hear them talking positive about our team instead of laughing at us or even pitying usbergholt wrote:All day the commentators have loved the Saints. Wow! Fantastic win. That takes so much pressure off. Bruce outstanding. I've got to give big props to Richo. He's obviously got amazing buy in from the players. I wasn't sure about Bruce as forward but its working brilliantly so far - its amazing what confidence can do. Curren seemed an odd selection but it worked too. To get four points on the road is hard for the best teams, so for our young group to do it brilliant. Outstanding! Well done lads. With McCartin, Acres, Goddard, McKenzie lurking in the background, suddenly the future seems so much brighter.

Great for some of the kids belief going forward. To win second up shows they can play AFL football. Hard to keep that style of footy up every week being that young, but it gave them a taste.
With the addition of Goddard,Acres, Mckenzie, McCartin,Webster in the coming weeks, plenty of youth to be shown yet. The rebuild looks like it's going along nicely,as long as we can nail a couple of star mids in the next 18 months

OK guys now you have had your fun.
A great win.
But lets not get carried away.
Lets not forget what 2015 is all about.
Getting games into players, learning the structures, the game plan and making the right decisions under pressure, applying pressure to opponents, creating turnovers.
But above all lets not forget that this season is about WINNING.

Winning the wooden spoon and winning pick number 1 in the national draft and maybe even convinincing the AFL that we are so poor we deserve a priority pick as well.

Consecutive 6 day breaks. Hard ask for so many kids. That may force AR's handsaint-stu wrote:Yep, plenty of strong performances for Sandy. Not sure there are any free spots though!Pwoit wrote:Paddy McCartin kicked 4 in the magoos today
