You can take into Metricon. Thermos of coffee too. Wouldn't there be the same 'rules' at all the grounds?

You couldn't take food in to Etihad but you can now that's why I don't get people complaining about price. I buy food at the ground because the price doesn't matter to me but if it did I certainly wouldn't buy there.

Can I bring a 6 pack of beer to the game next week?

Yep but finish it before you go into the ground.

Just got home from my third game of footy for the weekend, and it was interesting to see the different "match day experiences". If people don't like the loud gimmicks, I suggest avoiding Carlton home games, they have a very loud "blue man" robot thing after every goal. Luckily didn't hear it much after quarter time. The Hawks spend big on their pregame. Fireworks and big flag things, but it didn't do a lot for me. Mostly covered with iiNet advertising. Overall I think saints did it pretty well considering crowd was a quarter of the size of the other two games I went to and our budget much smaller.
As for food, mcg way ahead. $4 pie, $4 hot dog and $4 bottle of coke. Not sure about chips but I think they are cheaper too. Beer at mcg and etihad still cheaper than anywhere in docklands and southbank.

Ive got bugger all money I can assure you but I take my takeaway food seriously and price has never been an issue. Life is to short to worry about money when there is takeaway food and grog to be had. Im making sure life is even shorter that way my Daughter will have something.

Its actually excellent. I only eat 10 or 11 takeaways a week but the issue is I only eat 14 meals a week. No breakfast is the key. Not expecting a long life but its been a good life.

Totally agree.
GET RID OF THIS OBNOXIOUS BRAIN DEAD MORON!

Why did she feel the need to screech and yell every word at us?
I gave up even trying to talk to my mate next to me as her whiny screechy shrill voice drowned out everything.
She is every bit as annoying as that bitch who does the Coles adds.
Plus she obviously knows nothing about football.

Leave us in peace.
GET RID OF HER!

Didn't mind the lights when a goal had been scored or during stoppages.
But they are very distracting when play is on.
People whinge about vaguely similar jumpers creating confusion, but I would think the rolling advertising is far worse for a players under pressure using peripheral vision to try and find a target.

The musical interpretation of our theme song by whoever it was was very good.
But the other loud crap music was in the same category as the whining bimbo.

Also the so called super wifi was a slow as.
I tried to bring up the afl website at half time and it took minutes.

Might be more of an issue with the AFL site - wouldn't be the first time.
I had no issue on the Footy Live app or Facebook. Refreshes were instant.

I thought the wifi was fine. On the other hand I went to the G on Thursday and I'm still waiting for that picture I posted to come up on Facebook.

St Chris wrote:Enjoyed the Saints theme advertising boards, the music was fine, and the youngsters hosting the big screen were no worse than James Sherry and his annoying blond mate.

More importantly, it was encouraging to see the club / the AFL making some kind of effort. In this world of entertainment where the footy now sits, there needs to be more than just the 4 quarters of action to keep the punters happy. I'm sure all clubs will be trying different strategies this year, and like the Saints initiatives yesterday, some will work, and some will suck, but it's nice to see them doing something.
Well said sir. My thoughts exactly!

Can someone please explain what the hell this is?

I don't have anything against it....but there are pictures of this character all over facebook with absolutely no explanation of what it is supposed to be.

I think they call them premiership flags or pennants although I'm not sure as I haven't seen too many of those types of things.
