Yep I would have thought so because he got the ball forward as well as back and that is what we need. The only disappointing thing is most of our best players were the older ones.

Re: Votes
Maybe today's form is what we can expect from Savage rather than last year. Hopefully the young uns will learn quickly as our older players are aging quickly.plugger66 wrote:howlinwolf wrote:I couldn't watch the game.

How Schnied's game ? Sounds like he had a reasonable game.

Re: Votes
Schneids did pretty well. He'll never be as good as he was, but he was pretty reliable today.howlinwolf wrote:Maybe today's form is what we can expect from Savage rather than last year. Is that gws's best team? And did Griffin do nothing in first half too
A few less unforced errors and we win that

Weller was all over Griffen.
Close to their best side. WHE to come back and he is pretty much a star.
But we have Billings and Webster to come back - and I rate both of them highly.
Re: Votes
5 Steven - Jack pops up all over the field ready for the hand off like a little gnome in the garden - his kicking was better today - hopefully that's an upward trajectory
4 Rooey - just a great target as usual - plucked some rippers - looked a bit underdone
3 Savage - took it up a notch with his penetrating running - took the game on and slotted a couple of bewdys
2 Fisher - Controlled the backline
1 Bruce - became a good focal point in the second half and what a speccie!
Honourable mentions: Schneider - turned back the clock. The problem is I don't think he has too many like this left in him
Weller: took some good contested marks
