This connor mckenna kid is very quick.
We have some very poorly skilled players. Geary, Saunders, Acres, Wright and probably a few more.
Worst of all 3 of them were recruited in the last 3 years.

I don't know why they redrafted Saad. Looks a liability.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

And to think that we expected big things from Pelchen's drafting!plugger66 wrote:Stephen Theodore wrote:Yep, agree.plugger66 wrote:Con Gorozidis wrote:Our kicking is atrocious.

You do have to wonder what the recruiters are seeing with a few of these players mentioned.whiskers3614 wrote:And to think that we expected big things from Pelchen's drafting!plugger66 wrote:Stephen Theodore wrote:Yep, agree.plugger66 wrote:Con Gorozidis wrote:Our kicking is atrocious.

Going about as expected I would think. Hopefully we get confidence out of it and no injuries. Cant see much else we can get out of the game. Essendon are a VFL side as expected.

My thoughts on Geary are well known, so no need to labour the point. Cannot carry players with such glaring weaknesses.magnifisaint wrote:Add Geary in there. Just terribleSobraz wrote:My god Saunders is atrocious by foot. Just horrendous.
Seb looks very neat, plays within his limitations. Acres finds the ball well and should use handball more. Mccartin gets in great spots. Jack Steven is far and away our best player. Daylight behind him out there.

Re: NAB Challenge 2: Saints v Topups
I agree, Con. It's never been his strong suit, but that kick just prior to half time beggared belief. With no one around him, he kicked it straight to a doper, who did not have a saints player within 20 metres of him. I honestly think it must be a deficit in attention rather than skill. I think Gears is important to us, but he continues to be an advantage and a liability in equal measure.Con Gorozidis wrote:As much as I like geary his kicking is appalling.

What about Joey? What a gun and he's been doing it for ten years. Quality plus. Why can't it rub off on others?

Re: NAB Challenge 2: Saints v Topups
Wow - came over here to read what was being written, biggest bunch of whining and negativity I have never read.
Yes our disposal has been ordinary, but it improved in the second quarter.
Essendons game plan is to play close in the back half and try to score on the break. Chapman torpedoing it says it all.
Make a scrap of it was their only chance.
As they get tired the Saints should run over them pretty easily.
But I do agree they need to improve their disposal efficiency. Turnovers aren't hurting here, but against a real team will kill us stone dead.
It is a practice match after all and there are plenty of youngens out there

How's Jholmes going? He's up near the top of the stats sheet on all website.
Steady on about canning our players disposals til they've played a few more games.
