Ross looks like a cliched in and under player with decent-enough foot skills. Hardly a world beater but every good side has a few.

The aim (for the football club) is for Ross to be our 22nd player picked every week. Then, it displays that we have improved but also he has.

He'd want to improve soon. Big Holmes looks eager for a promotion.
I mentioned in an earlier thread that I reckon Holmes is now ahead of Longer. Longer went forward in the last quarter ( May have been there for part of the third as well) and gave them nothing. At this stage he's a tap ruckman only, and behind Holmes as a tap ruckman. Holmes ran hard on Sat, a lot of times probably not to the right position, but he can run, no doubt about that.

It was my first chance to see holmes live in action and i was happy with what i saw. The three bite mark he took made me giggle a bit as it looked like the first contact surprised him the second surprised him even more that it was still gettable the third scared the bejebbies out him in that he now really had to take the mark. Afterwards he was desperate to off load a handball in the end he went back and kicked a 40mt text book drop punt. All good, but keep in mind he was up against another rookie kid in archie smith who reminded me straight away of paddy ryder quick on the ground good in the air.

It was also the first time i have seen Eli post injury and am i the only one concerned? He now is so "bulky" he looks like he is dragging two sand bags behind him.

I was impressed with paddy mac & Lonie
It was great to see Saad go back for his slow march and slot a perfect 45mt goal
Watch for Blake Acres in 2015

That's fine if you could speed up Eli 4x
and somehow manage to slow down his opponent x2

Potential. I think if he can get it together he offers a lot. He certainly hasn't shown anything much yet but it is his second year after not having a preseason last year and being injured for part of the main season.

I watched the first half reply yesterday and it's funny, I saw some saying that Bruce wasn't very good. I thought in the first half he was outstanding. He was Hammil like to me. Very aggressive and ran down anyone near him. He has the potential to be a very good player still. Ray is still a very good player too. Last year was his most consistent and he looks like a very level head all over the ground. Roberto looks magnificent too. Seb, Armo, geary all went well. Savage is a beautiful ball carrier but shouldn't ever kick out. Delaney is a great one on one FB but terrible kick. Jack Steven looked very rusty. Weller is a very hard working player.

I see a bit of BJ in him.
Will be a huge unit in two years time. Needs to get more involved though. But his positive is his reading of the flight of the ball.
I can see him cruising half back as a quarter back and drifting fwd and taking grabs and kicking goals.
Hes not far off it. If he had hung on to a few of his marks when he went fwd on saturday wed be going nuts but he didnt quite hold them.... if it he starts taking them then we have a player. I think he needs a bit of confidence and some time out on the park building confidence. He didnt play much last year and I dont think he played all that much in 2013 either.

Junction Oval, loris. Recruited quietly in November. Has a big round body shape but meets up nicely in the middle. :x

I see that the Lions towelled up a rusty Sydney. Maybe our three point loss was a much better performance than has been acknowledged.
