I think our forward line could go for a swim. At least they would be exercising.

McCartin's been getting kicking lessons from either Stewie Loewe or our skipper! Terrible shot from 20m.

Funny game footy. Got destroyed but with an accurate kick could have been in front at quarter time.

Very rusty early. Lucky we haven't been blown out of the game already.

Very pokie! Needs to copy the Tommy Lee style and kick through it. Apart from that very impressive from Paddy.
Positives - Seb Ross looks good. Savage good. I like the look of little Lonie as well - very active. Roberton looks solid down back.
On the -ve I am just not sure Brucey and Curren are going to make it.

After I made my comment we seemed to improve a lot and got into the game better.
Lee still worries me, hope to see better from him. Overall the last 5 minutes wss good.

Very scrappy - school football. No forward penetration, with many skill errors. Let's see how the rest of the game pans out.

Seb, Paddy, Lee, Roberton and Membrey showed good signs in the first quarter. We're very lucky Brisbane can't kick straight or we could easily be 5 goals down. Need to win more contested footy

Good efforts out there but lacking the link up play under good pressure from Brissy. Big Mac all beef Paddy looks fantastic. Running hard to make position, two shots on goal already. He's going to be a great target from years to come. At this rate he'll be a shoe in for Rd 1 proper. Ross did some nice link up play. Acres knows how to get in the thick of it - just letting himself down under pressure he'll get used to the speed then look out. Steven doing well. Weller working hard. Monty his usual dangerous self. Away from home with a young team I thought that was a good quarter to get the season off and running.

Let's be honest.....it's gonna be a long year and we won't be genuinely competitive until around 7-8 of the blokes playing today are replaced with better players. Which obviously will take 3-4 years.
