It's a shame people like you and P76 don't understand the relevance of this change is the AFL listening and responding very quickly to a request from both our club and fans through various channels.

Its a practice game. It should be played in the middle of nowhere to get people interested. We get 22 games a year to watch. And by the way where do you want these practice games played anyway? By the way the NRL must be a third world sport as bugger of their practice games are on TV. Actually can you tell me an Australian sport where most practice games are on TV apart from Aussie rules.

Yes it's only a practice match but is branding and exposure for our fans and our sponsors. We are low supporting club member wise but there are many who follow us. Enabling them to see our team play at any cost is a positive. Our bank balance is in the red anything to help us to get back onthe black and climb up the ladder.

And if Channel 7 don't want to show the practice games then how can they be shown. They don't rate because they mean nothing. No FTA channel would want them. That's why they are now only on Foxtel. Got any other Australian sports that show practice games on any sort of station? I cant think of any.

plugger has a point re ratings and I agree with him on that.

Delve in deeper and we need to know if 7 could broadcast nab games on 7MATE instead. The secondary channels are more open now than they ever have been and that should be an option for the pre season.
