41 is too high for Saad I think. Obviously his first season was a great success, but his 2nd year was well below that (even prior to any of the drug issues surfacing....)bob__71 wrote:I think they will either select saad at 41 and schneider will be delisted or saad will already be gone and they may keep schneider depending on who is available in the draft.
I would not use any more than a rookie pick for him. If we were going to use 41 on him in the National Draft, then we really should have kept him on the list while he served his suspension to begin with.
I'd much prefer a Caleb Daniel (who clearly we are into), Ramsey the Pirate, or something similar at 41. Someone who could potentially be an A-grader, but comes with some sort of risk attached, as opposed to someone who will probably never go beyond a solid B (who, in Saad's case, still has risk involved).
I think Schneider is gone either way - we can't pass at 41 and keep him, and there isn't really anyone else on the list in the gun for that 9th free spot. The only other alternative is upgrading 3 rookies (which could be a possibility if Eli's rehab is taking longer than expected - despite the announcement we've made about his upgrade - it's not done till it's done....).
