Re: St Kilda announcement - Tues morning - Dare
Am wondering if having the CEO of Coles on our board has started to pay some dividends?
Could be he 'whispered' into some corporate ears
or alternatively
some corporate ears recognize the value of sponsoring a Club with that particular connection
For those wondering, Coles has a much bigger presence in Victoria than Woolworths (vice a versa in NSW)

Good company to have around.
Don't let the players drink it. Will get you nothing but fat that stuff.
At least the admin are getting new sponsors on board.
Most of them were saying they were struggling to keep the weight on with the new training. Newnes wants a few more kgs and same with Holmes. Maybe they should down a few.

Not an unknown company at all. Quite popular in fact. !Selhurst Saint wrote:Not exactly unknown. Reality is we are possibly 3 to 5 years away from landing a long term established brand sponsor when we improve
I can't see anything wrong with a sponsor trying to get an advantage out of its sponsorship. That's the whole point!!

That Tom Lee seems like a bit of a personality. Scratch the embarrassing travesty that is Schneiderman and give Lee a regular show, I reckon. Perhaps in the same format as Lunch with Lenny, I give you...saintbrat wrote:Boys had fun- making up the slogans

I hope we've read the label on that Dare Iced Coffee and that there is nothing in there that AFL players shouldn't have - ala Saad's "energy drink".
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Corona not imported by CUB, definitely a Lion product.plugger66 wrote:True Believer wrote:plugger66 wrote:oldie60 wrote:Lion has brands that include cheese, fruit drinks and beers such as Corona,Hahn,Steinlager,James Boags just to name a few. They also have the Big M milk range, ciders, wine.yoplait yoghurt so i'm sure you would be able to find something in that vast range that will help support the club.
Nothing there that does anything for me. Is it Lion Nathan sponsoring us or dare? Now im confused. I thought Corona was a Carlton brand.
Corona is not CUB, it is Anheuser-Busch InBev. We are sponsored by Dare (a brand owned by Lion).
Nothing wrong with Boags........
As you may know I only drink VB. Im very old and very old school. Corona must be imported by Carlton though? I look for forward to my slab of VB. I will get you Boags if I lose.
My question actually was meant to be do Dare make chocolate drinks and the like. I went on the internet and found they only do coffee type drinks so im out.

Considering Siposs won't be back until round 10 he will need something to do.

Just bought a Dare iced coffee / mocha. Very tasty, but it seemed there was about 38 spoons of sugar in it. Hope we have shares in Wilmar. I also hope that the product doesn't exceed caffeine and sucrose levels, lest it be deemed illegal.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Re: St Kilda announcement - Tues morning - Dare
Great news on the new sponsor. In the past, we've had a tobacco company, an alcoholic beverage company and a gambling company as major sponsors. We now have a caffeinated beverage company. The circuit is complete!
I hope the Dare logo replaces the yellow LEDified sponsorship patches on our guernseys. I wouldn't clash as much.

No, it's far different to drinking an espresso, cappuccino or latte. It doesn't have the bitterness of conventional coffee, contains a lot more milk and sweeter. You may find it more palatable to regular coffee and even refreshing. No harm in trying it out.plugger66 wrote:Not a coffee drinker at all. Matter of fact cant stand it and it may seem like a silly question but is iced Coffee pretty much the same as normal coffee except cold? If the answer is year which I would gather what other stuff does this company sell that maybe drinkable for non coffee drinkers?
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!

From little things big things grow.
From that initial test of sugary iced coffee.........Sainters will become coffee connoisseurs, maturing their palates and join the debate amongst baristas ................... are they cuppers or not?
This will be the rage in those Seaford Coffee dens!!

I hope we can all see the irony in us getting a coffee based sponsor, when the main complaint about Seaford is the lack of cafés!loris wrote:From little things big things grow.

St kilda Thunda is suggesting there is another big sponsor announcement to come still at big footy. Maybe Tony is right we might still be getting a major sponsor that gets the jumper fronts. I have seen a distinct lack of rebranded tops with Dare as the main logo on them. They usually have them oversewn pretty quickly.
