Monty is all class.
But so was Joffa, mostly in poor sides.
And Joffa had a "presence".

Loved Joffa. Hard as nails and could run and contest. His kicking was at the Jason Daniels level unfortunately.

Joffa was a big cult hero back in the 80s. Him and Burnsy gave our team a real hard edge. Two of the toughest blokes ever to pull on a Saints guernsey.

Joffa for me....Growing up in East Bentleigh in the 70's and 80's....I saw more of Joffa live then I did of Joey.. (I've been a Qld'er since '91)

As my screen name suggests, Joffa for mine. No doubt Joey is a class above, but Joffa had that something that made him the cult hero. Proudly wore the number 5 on the back of my footy jumper back in the day

Joffa for mine - a real shining light when we were going through the dark years and were just mince meat to the 'bigger clubs' - they would regularly turn up to just chew on the Saints only to find a couple of 'bones' that stuck in their throats - Joffa, Burnsie and of course Barks.
Joffa and Greg Burns never took a backward step and Barks was just brave and brilliant.
I see a previous poster has suggested that Joey is a class above - Joffa played mostly on a wing as such he could well have manned up on Joey and I would think that most who have seen both would back Joffa to hold his own if not win the contest. Regularly played State of Origin and just as regularly was named in the Best.
