His poise in traffic - where you can see he has at least two things on his mind; ready to execute - is what really stood out for me. Unlike Schnids, and more like Mitchell, the skill to toy with the opposition while moving through traffic.
Unless Lonie/Minchington become something other than a small forward I think they will be competing for the one spot. Can't see us drafting Saad or Petrenko now and makes you wonder whether we need Schneider. Surely only one of those three will make it to our rookie list. My preference is Petrenko.

According to this forum our club leaks like a sieve so this is probably true.
Petracca put a lot of St.Kilda noses out of joint at the two meetings the club has with him.
Very arrogant, and dismissive of the Saints rebuild. Was reported to have told the Saints that he would look for a trade to Collingwood after two years.
If true contrast that with the reaction of McCartin and Goddard when selected for the same AFL team.

The AFL Ratings use a pretty complex formula e.g. for a kick, the number of points awarded/subtracted are determined by criteria such as the difficulty of the kick, the effectiveness of the kick plus the amount of pressure that the kicker was under. Every facet of play is individually rated and an overall rating is also given. For an overall rating, some areas of play are rated more highly than others e.g. contested possessions, pressure acts, scoring assists. .
For Jack, we specifically stated:
"Rated above average for kicks going inside 50, goals and score involvements. Ranked fourth for score assists. Size will count against him (for recruiters), but the cousin of Nathan and Ryan Lonie loves the big stage. He tackles, kicks goals, forces mistakes and has a fiery streak."
Plenty of players around 174 cm have made it in the AFL. Aussie Jones was 176cm, Andrew Thompson was 174 cm. Schneider is 175cm, Haydn Ballantyne is 174cm, Lewis Taylor is 173cm, Brent Harvey is 167cm, Jake Neade is 170cm, Brandon Matera is 175cm, Leroy Jetta 177cm. I'm sure there are a few others in the current game.
Being 174cm is no impediment to being a successful AFL player

Certainly a bunch of small forwards in that list: Milne, Farmer, Schneider, Betts, Matera, Ballantyne, Moorcroft, etc. Gotta be good to succeed as a midfielder at that height but there's plenty of them as well so it's not out of the question.

Not a fan of this at all - IMO the 1 position small forward (Milne role) is too 1 dimensional. If he can't go midfield what's the point??
Don't get it at all - Petracca plays mid AND kicks goals resting forward (think what Ablett adds for Suns doing this).
I didn't follow the draft that closely but I don't think Petracca was available at 41.
