Shifter endorses the saints!

No lesser authority than Kevin "shifter" Sheehan, has endorsed the saints as the winners of the draft. He likened the saints haul to that of the hawks when they picked Roughead and Franklin. Like those two, he described Goddard and McCartin as the "bookends", who would be there for the next decade. Also liked the fact we got McKenzie. A ringing endorsement from a man with true expertise. So to all the critics out there, take a deep breath and acknowledge that a man with thirty years experience as the AFL's talent manager has given us the biggest thumbs up of any club.

I along with most others know nothing about these kids, so there is no point in me saying gee we did well. All I look for is from the 'draft guru's' on the night saying "they did well with that pick,he's slipped" etc.
Picks 21,22 and 41 all got glowing reviews,and pick 1 was 50/50 with Petracca, so I'm happy with what we did. We still need to find the 2-3 elite midfielders,but we will have our opportunity over the next two years

Agreed Skeptic, I was in the game when Sylvia was drafted. One recruiter I worked with described him as a potential "Leigh Matthews". A bit over the top I know, but he was very highly rated and eventually went at three. Another epic fail for the Dees. Interesting that Ross Lyin' couldn't get anything out of him. From what I'm told Petracca's psych. testing has shown he has similar traits as Col. Might just have dodged a bullet there.
