Pick one - the burden

Post: # 1519350Post SainterK »

Congrats to the kid, but I hope he has a resilient nature.

The burden of #1 has sat heavy on many.

Such a harsh AFL world at times.

Hope we are all patient with him.

May he be the kind who walks tall.

*Allegedly.

Bring back Lucky Burgers, and nobody gets hurt.

You can't un-fry things.

When you hear him talk he sounds like a top kid who will handle it with no problems. Basically said that being number one meant nothing to him, that he knows he needs to win the trust of his team mates and can't wait to get stuck into the pre-season.

Two things in his favour: he's not going to be a pinup model so doesn't have to deal with that side of being famous and secondly being a type 1 diabetic means he should be either a teatoller or seldom drinks

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Why is that about the drinking?

Drinking equates to a lot of sugar dispersed into the blood stream - not good for diabetics. one or two drinks may be OK but a bender, combined with alcohol impaired judgement is likely to lead to mismanagement and possible hypoglycemic episode (ie passing out/possible coma)

Well I know 3 diabetics and all give it a good nudge. As long as they test themselves they are ok.

Testing is the key, only takes 10 seconds to do,club will be onto it.Benders aren't the best recovery sometimes.Cant see him having any big benders anyway.
