RIP. Far too young to pass. I feel for his family and those close to him.
Have some f****** respect mods and move this back to the main board.

Gutted and cannot imagine his family's grief. Brought me to tears and that is a very rare event....

Re: Phillip Hughes in critical condition
How many bouncers, every day, every week, are faced by cricketers all over the world. It's just not fair.
My deepest sympathies go out to all his family and friends as well as everyone involved in cricket here and abroad who played with, against or knew Phillip.
Watching cricket will never be the same for me again.

Re: Phillip Hughes RIP
s***, I was really thinking he'd pull up okay. That's an absolute tragedy. I can't imagine what his family is going through, one minute he's going to take Clarke's spot and then this.

RIP Phil. Thanks for making the world a better place.
I lost a dear mate the same way in the early 8o's. The only blessing from Steve Wearne's tragic death was that helmets became compulsory in many grades of cricket.

I am still hurting from 71;
my gut churns thinking of 97;
2009 was agony,
2010a was a pleasure to watch only to be devastated by 2010 b.
It hurts barracking for the Saints

Beyond words.
Absolutely gutted by this.
Horrible, horrible tragedy.
Feel almost as much for the young bowler Abbott. Can not imagine how he feels.

Re: Phillip Hughes RIP
I think I need to turn the radio and TV off. I didn't think I could feel so sad for someone I have never met.
Re: Phillip Hughes RIP
My God that's a shock, I thought he would've pulled through.
Reminds me never to take a day for granted.
All my sympathies to the family. Way to young. sorry to hear it.

Re: Phillip Hughes RIP
Hard to believe this could possible with all of the protective gear the players wear. Feel terrible for his family and The guy who bowled the ball. I've played cricket for over 25 years, opened the batting for many, and never worn a helmet. I know the bowling is nowhere near as fast but this just shows anything can happen. A terrible day for sport.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

The bloke on fox sports news doing a fantastic job keeping himself together.
A sad day for Australia. Vale Phillip Hughes.
