Surely the last coach was 'jettisoned' due to the undermining by Montgomery who wanted the top job?
When Bevo returns, he gets interviewed, then shortly after is appointed Footscrays coach

Flogs like Darce are probably leaking false information to the media and then loading up with bookies on whoever they know is going to win.

So Bevo hasn't even been interviewed but is a firm favourite.
How does that even make any sense?

Probably chatted on the phone. I think they will interview him on Monday and announce it Tuesday or Wednesday. The choice is 2 unknowns, one from a successful 2 clubs and the other from a club that hasn't had success.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

So the club that wanted to change the culture sacked the dudes that tried to change it.SaintPav wrote:So Bevo hasn't even been interviewed but is a firm favourite.

Then they revert back to the probably source of the problem by getting Darcy back and probably making Murphy captain.
At least there will always be a side that is more a complete botch than us.

Yeah but its all Akers fault for doing handstands. He cost them a flag with his selfishness. If he didnt do handstands they would have won at least 3 flags by now.The Redeemer wrote:So the club that wanted to change the culture sacked the dudes that tried to change it.SaintPav wrote:So Bevo hasn't even been interviewed but is a firm favourite.

If we lose Bevo to Dogscray, will we be compensated?
Pretty late at this stage to look for a replacement. It could really derail our whole preseason and this will stuff us up next year.

This pandora's box is stupid. People move within an industry all the time and the former employer is never recompensed.SaintPav wrote:If we lose Bevo to Dogscray, will we be compensated?

Port and Collingwood both asked for compo and I can't see why we can't, Deamsey.

Re: Luke Beveridge
It almost seems that the club has formed the opinion that Beveridge is gone.
Heard on the 3AW sports show last night that the club has decided to combine Bevo's role with parts (about 1/2) of Pelchen's old role and then appoint just one person. If that is the plan then Beveridge probably wouldn't be suitable even if he were available.
Bugger bugger bugger, I really wanted Beveridge at the club.

I know plenty say it but do you have proof? And he seemed to coach ok at Geelong for a crackhead and wasn't bad at Essendon this year either.
