As of a week ago hadn't even been interviewed.

He still hasn't as he is overseas. Don't think he is back until early next week. Im suggesting though he must be firming for the job so we will need another coach.

Maybe so, but I still think that the WB were always going to appoint Montgomery and the rest is all 'window dressing' so they can tell their members, the journos and the wider public that they went through an 'exhaustive process' leaving 'no stone unturned' to find the 'best possible coach'.

Surely the last coach was 'jettisoned' due to the undermining by Montgomery who wanted the top job?

Probably chatted on the phone. I think they will interview him on Monday and announce it Tuesday or Wednesday. The choice is 2 unknowns, one from a successful 2 clubs and the other from a club that hasn't had success.

It almost seems that the club has formed the opinion that Beveridge is gone.

Heard on the 3AW sports show last night that the club has decided to combine Bevo's role with parts (about 1/2) of Pelchen's old role and then appoint just one person. If that is the plan then Beveridge probably wouldn't be suitable even if he were available.

Bugger bugger bugger, I really wanted Beveridge at the club.

I know plenty say it but do you have proof? And he seemed to coach ok at Geelong for a crackhead and wasn't bad at Essendon this year either.
