I have been a saints fan for over 70 years.
I recently got my first iPad and started reading this forum.
My favourite saints are Oswald, Ross, Stewart, Baldock and Tom Meehan, I'm still annoyed that he went to Fitzroy after leaving StKilda.
Looking forward to discussing saints topics with you all.

fair group of players there...jimmy ross was a friend of dad's...came to our house once...last time i saw him was at his pub in longford...the weekend rocky tresize was killed......ian stewart really put a premature end to lances career.....both brilliant cenremen but ian was better.....tom meehen...doen't bring back to many memories...full back wasn't he......i have far more and fonder memories of keith drinan, les foote, peter bennett bruce phillips, the roberts boys (kevin and neil...no relation)and brian gleeson.....

lance's last year with the saints was 1963.....at 26 he was far too young to leave...he would be..what......77 today......i knew him when i was a boy in the rooms at the junction oval......how's strathmerton these days mate....??

Jack used to tell us that it wasn't Tom in that famous photo of Jack Dyer hitting the Saint ? Meehan (on the cover of Captain Blood's autobiography)........ Jack M used to swear it was him, not Tom. Never saw Tom to do a comparison of looks. It looked very much like Jack Meehan in the photo. Can you shed any light on which brother you think it was?

No but Toms daughter was on TV. I think her name is Bridget McIntyre. She was on postcards.
