i cant see the crowd being any bigger or smaller depending on who we play
its not exactly an afl country

Safe to say that every interstate team is ahead of us (except perhaps GWS), so if we wanted a winnable game we would have requested Melbourne or Carlton.

Safe to say that every interstate team is ahead of us (except perhaps GWS), so if we wanted a winnable game we would have requested Melbourne or Carlton.

Carlton is winnable in Australia, hard to gauge in NZ.

the crowd we didn't get last year-- hence one of the demises of MONDAy football thank goodness.

It's not about the crowd we get over there. It's about the crowd we could have got here for a home game against Carlton compared to a home game against an interstate club.

It's actually about the money we get over there versus the money we get here.

Considering the break even crowd at Etihad, playing a game over there is prudent.
