I've got a love/ hate relationship with the Trade period
When we're down the bottom of the ladder, its always intriguing to see what we can pull out

yeah..and got rid of the twins who both went on to have outstanding careers as key backs...a commodity of which we have been sadly lacking ever since......
ps...i would have thought that it would be more accurate to say that the trade period has left many supporters deflated as it has more often than not stripped the club of it's star /better players...
also with Shane Wakelin he was the one who wanted out of the saints after only playing 4 games in 2000 ...
but hey you re-write history to suit your story
you are the one rewriting history there boy.....and you are a boy.....shane was given the flick by that asswipe coach we had for a few games...
..and that is absolutely the last time i will reply to you

Of course if we still had BJ, Dal, Ben and Rhys we'd be top four next year!

we certainly wouldn't be adding to our wooden spoon tally...which was exactly my point....Bernard Shakey wrote:Can't understand why anyone would abuse you!stinger wrote:look...mind your own business...that particular poster has been abusing me for a long time....that is the first time i reacted...and i don't need your ageist insults......i haven't been abusing anyone....the club is the ones loving the wooden spoons..not me...otherwise they wouldn't be trading out our better players...that too hard for you to understand jellybaby.....Bernard Shakey wrote:Grow up old boy, and you are an old boy. Re: I detest trade period
You are probably right Stinger. We would be adding wooden spoons in about 3 seasons after we had ordinary 13-16 places so that would put us about 5 years behind where we are now.stinger wrote:we certainly wouldn't be adding to our wooden spoon tally...which was exactly my point....Bernard Shakey wrote:Can't understand why anyone would abuse you!stinger wrote:look...mind your own business...that particular poster has been abusing me for a long time....that is the first time i reacted...and i don't need your ageist insults......i haven't been abusing anyone....the club is the ones loving the wooden spoons..not me...otherwise they wouldn't be trading out our better players...that too hard for you to understand jellybaby.....Bernard Shakey wrote:Grow up old boy, and you are an old boy. Exactly. Pelican is about speeding up the inevitable. It's a shame some can't get that fact.plugger66 wrote:You are probably right Stinger. Of course the picks we get for Dal BJ Macca and Stanley won't initially be as good as what we lost. It's long term planning.
Wait until mid 2016 to judge Pelican
