Likely this will happen.
GWS now have 4, 6, 7 to trade for pick 1

I would love for this to come true,Linton Street Saint wrote:Love the fact that everyone is saying this won't happen like they are in the know.
If Jaxons says 4,6,7 for 1 is most likely you can bet your house that it's most likely to happen.
Runs on the board.
But a few people on here actually bet money on Choco becoming coach on the back of Jaxons tip…
Fingers crossed this one come through though!

If we get 4,6 and 7 for pick 1,they can start building the statues of Pelchen and Baines as of tommorrow. Could probably even consider using there faces as the mascot

GWS will do this because they have the hots for Petracca, they have too much young talent as it is. Can't fit another 3 18 year olds on the list waiting to get home again.matrix wrote:Linton Street Saint wrote:Love the fact that everyone is saying this won't happen like they are in the know.

no one is saying it wont happen becasue they are in the know
its jsut that would you swap 3 top 8 picks for pick one??
no
neither would 99% of us
its everyones opinion not because everyone is in the know
if jax says look out it will happen then its disbelief from us because we cannot believe gws would do it
nothing to do with being 'in the know'
More value in keeping Petracca a Giant than trying to convince 3 others all trying to squeeze into the same midfield to stay in GWS in 2 years time.

They'll want a player in return

I will think you will find we were pretty bloody close to having Choco as coach until Richo did a backflip at the death knell.dragit wrote:I would love for this to come true,Linton Street Saint wrote:Love the fact that everyone is saying this won't happen like they are in the know.

Re: GWS now have 4, 6, 7 to trade for pick 1
I still think last year was a freak super draft.
Remember there was genuine debate over pick 1.
Aish and Scharenberg were serious contenders for pick at one stage. Throw in Kelly , KK, Billings and the Bont and that top 7 was very very hot.
Not sure we can say that this time around.
Point im making is 4,6,7 sounds amazing based on 2013. And decision making is most affected by recent events. Hopefully cool heads prevail and we back the recruiters research and not just look at last year and expect it will be repeated - it probably wont be.
But - If we pick the rights guys - then 4,6,7 could be transformational for the club if you got them all right. One single good player - no matter how good - wont be transformational.

Your kidding are you? The have so many option new in terms of picks for players and I am sure they wont toss the 3 picks for the #1 pick. I seriously doubt they would toss them in for #1 , 21 and 22.Sobraz wrote:Dont think GWS need 3 new 18 year olds on thier already young list.
1 good one would be enough.
I know most here are bullish but the Saints have seemd to sat on their hands while others struck up deals that now wont make the remaining options favourable for the Saints. We will keep the #1 pick as they wont be prepared to lose now.
They might swallow 1 and 21 for 4 and 7 but I'm even doubtful about that.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

I'd be very happy with that. Throw in Membrey and maybe Daniel and we've done well.

That one wasn't jaxons fault - a meeting of our coaching selection committee resulted in everyone agreeing that Williams was the guy to appoint, and jaxon's info was rock solid, but the decision changed after Richardson agreed to throw his hat into the ring late in the process... at the time he wrote it, Williams was over the line...dragit wrote: I would love for this to come true,

If we get 4,6 & 7 for pick 1 - unbelievable. That would be the greatest trade of all time. So I'll believe it when I see it
No disrespect to the action-jaxons. Appreciate any tid-bits.

What about 1, Montagna and 40 for 4, 6, 7? I wouldn't be unhappy with that.

Re: GWS now have 4, 6, 7 to trade for pick 1
GWS probably offering picks 6 & 7 as an opening gambit or pick no1.
We probably said no deal unless pick 4 is on the table.
Probably said make it picks 4 and 6 and we think about it.

Re: GWS now have 4, 6, 7 to trade for pick 1
Why is everyone intent on disbelieving Jaxons? If he said it was likely then I am satisfied that GWS are strongly considering it - remembering they haven't got 7 from Carlton yet.
It would be a good result for the club, but when you look at the GWS list dynamics it would be a good result for them also. GWS don't have any real list shortfalls that is why they are prepared to trade their excess players such as Boyd, Jaksch, ORourke and Frost. They will bring in Griffen and a very good mid in Petracca who will be there future grunt player!
Plus GWS have two nominated scholarship players in the draft, plus Griffen they will probably only take two live picks in this years draft.
