Ok, I like the idea of 4 picks within 22 rather than just 2.
Let's be honest we need quantity and quality

But....

Pick 4 is a concern to me.

Petracca, mc carton and Bradshaw are top 3 and will be gone, along with Heeney already.

Next in line 2m Peter. But a ruck is last position we need.

Then it's a blanket over next 15 or so, so we are probably missing the A grade quality.

If somehow we could turn 4 into pick 3.

Anywho we may rate players completely differently, but unfortunately our situation means we must compromise.

I would suggest this a rumour when the word "if" is used and that it has now been made public.

On a side note, I find it staggering clubs are supposedly lining up to gift us top 20 picks when Beams can only illicit pick 5 & 25. Seems Petracca must be pretty special in comparison to established, proven players.

Agree with P66. As much as I would love this to be the case it is unbelievable. I think someone is pulling your leg. IMHO I think the GWS offer was never that good and whatever was being discussed is now off the table due to the bolt out of the blue called Griffen. I think our best chance for another pick is only going to come from a player trade.

Considering their quality drafting of late, I can't see them giving it up but AFL site mentions the Doggies as a potential suitor for the pick one trade. They 'might' have 4, 6 & 7 if GWS sell the farm for Griffin.

I've also heard a team with a top 5 pick are keen on Wright, who is a forward first and foremost not a ruck. So pick 4 could give us McCartin if we get very lucky.
