Did anyone else get the feeling, KJ and JOK were using St Kilda as a 'preferred' second destination because St Kilda had access to the PSD and in so when negotiating with their actual preferred destinations, this would be in the Hawks/Carlton's favour as in take this, or you could lose him to St Kilda for less....?

It was weird they both seemed to be hanging on to the St Kilda idea, when they had actually chosen otherwise.

Yes pick 7 is way overs. Unless they can do a deal, we may be able to do something considering it was tweeted that the Saints would up the deal now JOR is gone.

pick 19 for an injury prone bust is also overs IMho.

Still if we somehow got 4, 7, 19 for 1 I wouldn't say no. Hawks and Carlton can have them, I reckon what we got forthose three picks would be a better bet anyway

won't get us anywhere. Personally I'd take 3 good picks inside 20 rather than just pick 1. Mind you I'd be very nervous in case the number 1 turned out to be a superstar.

To be fair, it all depends on if we think Patrecca is a Judd/Riewoldt type player. If not, why not get 2-3 players who might have the same ceiling as Petrecca.
People don't see that where our list is at currently, we need lots of talent quickly before we can do a Port Adelaide and content in finals, not just getting 1 'potential' star a year. Just look at Carlton, they've been crap for 10 years... got Cruizer (#1), Marc Murphy (#1), Gibbs (#1), walker (#2), Judd (#4), and are still no where close to the flag.

Well if we can trust our recruiters then 4 top 20 picks looks very appealing.... I know its a big if. But three number 1 picks hasnt got Carlton anywhere..... 2 or 3 good players has to be better than one gun player imo.

I bumped into Christian Petracca at the Listen Out festival on Saturday! He is a big boy and he loved that my brother and I recognised him. We asked him if he was going to get to the Saints and he said he hoped so with a huge smile on his face. Seems like a top person as well. Think we should just take him!

Aus, IMHO one-trick McCartin will struggle to even make in the AFL...full stop! Let alone be worth a top five pick.

Any deal for Petracca must start with Cameron on the table, then the offer made to us is built up from that starting point.
