Richmond inquires about Armo
According to Trade Radio, Richmond may offer up pick 11 for Armitage. That's overs IMO so will be very interesting if true...

I think 11 is fair. Hed be in their top 10 players.
Would suit both parties.

If that's true as reported then say thanks very much Richmond and do te deal and quickly leave the building! Arno is 27 and were realistically 5 years away so he won't be in our best 22 then so strike whilst the iron is hot I reckon!

The thing that needs to be considered is the immediate hole it will leave in the midfield which can be detrimental to our young midfielders. Not so simple.Kernal75 wrote:If that's true as reported then say thanks very much Richmond and do te deal and quickly leave the building! The thing is... Armo whilst a clear starting 22 player, is a B-Grade player. He's not elite and pbly won't get thereFQF wrote:The thing that needs to be considered is the immediate hole it will leave in the midfield which can be detrimental to our young midfielders. 26 now. 27 next year..so he will be in his prime.FQF wrote:The thing that needs to be considered is the immediate hole it will leave in the midfield which can be detrimental to our young midfielders. But with no Lenny or Armitage....you would really fear for our young mids, and for the club in general.
Getting spanked by huge margins will not be good for membership, sponsorship or for attracting players to us.
I was happy about the Ben Trade as it was a great deal in what we picked up, plus that we had Hickey and knew we were getting Longer and so could more than cover for Ben's departure while also getting several new players.
So if this deal is on...then either we would need more...OR Pelchen must know what other mids we are also getting.

Re: Richmond inquires about Armo
Lenny's was the heart and soul and now Armo? Come on, anyone except Roo is tradeable this year. Pick 11 is a great deal IMO. Weller is a big body, so is Dunstan so the impact won't be that great. We still got spanked by massive margins when Armo was in the team so why not do the deal, assuming Pick 11 is offered

Have to keep him. Pick 11 would be nice but for competitive sake and leadership he is needed. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

When you finish 18th from 18 - I think its time to get a new bath. (and maybe adopt the baby out to a good and caring home .)

Re: Richmond inquires about Armo
do the deal FFS. he aint gonna be there when we are challenging and is a B Grade mid at best.
sure heart/soul etc etc but facts are we are in desperate need of quality peaking in aboiut 4-5 years time.....that's not Armo.
pick 11 and run....
I honestly don't think Armo is the difference between us getting spanked or winning/losing next year OR losing members.....members sign on with hope.......quality brings hope......higher end drafting provides better chance of quality...
you know it makes sense...

Was only a hypothetical put forward by the flogs on traderadio.
Maybe there was an enquiry but #11 is not confirmed by any stretch of the imagination

Richmond and stupid don't look uncomfortable in the same sentence. But in this instance I would be surprised.bigred wrote:Richmond couldnt be that stupid surely.
