Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
So what do you guys think?
I dont know. Could be a great way to go although then we may miss out on a real talent in Patrecca.
We will lack quality talls and need to inject them so these 3 while not top 10 but 10-20 draft picks could be a great way.
Not sure how it gets done with Membrey laying for swans.

Pretty sure this isn't quite the deal. It's more likely they are separate deals.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
If Pick 4, Jaksch & O'Rourke isn't enough to prise Pick 1 from the Saints then I can't see Membrey, Jaksch & O'Rourke doing it, regardless of the colour of Membrey's current guernsey.SMS wrote:So what do you guys think?

Either someone gives us a gun or we draft a gun with the gun pick we currently hold. Simples

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
I would kill myself if we did that.
Membrey has indicated he wants to come to the Saints = # 38 at best
Jakcsh wants to go to Carlton but pick 6 is too much for him so Carlton are struggling.
JOR - deciding between Hawks and Saints.
Anderson on SEN reckon we may try for either Jaksch or JOR in the PSD.
So please no suggestions #1 for three players who have shown very little.
#1 for Sheil and #3 may do it.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
All three are not even in their club's best 22.
I am happy to have all these guys at our club - but not for pick 1. Not by a long shot.
Pick 1 has to be a top 5 player at a club minimum.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
LOL on retrospect would be a disaster. Im just going by what was said on the trade updates and Bain said it.
Pick 4 and two of those would be ok i reckon. Poor draft year.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
Which three players now on our list are you going to delist for these three?
We only currently have space to pick up three players in trading and drafting. We are obviously going to use our first three or maybe five in the draft, so we will have to get rid of another 5. Who will you deist to make room for these player?

Agree however I think if we are going to attempt to pick up these guys according to Bains then Schneids and maybe simpkin are not looking solid.borderbarry wrote:Which three players now on our list are you going to delist for these three?

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
Pick 1 for three non-stars is not good enough -- and it's not the whole equation.
It's pick 1 for 3 players, MINUS two other draft picks or MINUS two other players currently on our list.
Those two other draft picks could be Cockatoo, or Caleb Daniels, or one or both of the McKenzies, or any of the others we're currently having speculative lover affairs with. Or they could be Siposs and Simpkin or Scnieids (one of whom will have to go anyway)
To forget this end of the equation seems completely unacceptable to me.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
I think they just meant that those were the players they were after... Not necessarily that they will all be involved in a pick 1 trade
I also think that they're drumming up interest in pick 1

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
I got told by someone who does know people at the doggies that they are interested in trading for pick one.
He said he has no idea what they would offer.
I have no idea if his rumour is true or not and he admits it may just have been idle chatter but was mentioned.
Any thoughts?

Why try for pick 1 when pick 2 or pick 3 would do the job?

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

The only reason would be that Pelchen has shown a willingness to discuss pick one for the correct deal.Dr Spaceman wrote:

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
I agree with Bunk and would consider pick 1 for pick 3 and Shiel
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Consider it. Take it in heartbeat. Pity GWS would have no interest. Anyway very humorous title.

Re: Membrey, Orourke and Jaksch for pick 1
Even if GWS were to consider it, surely they would only offer Dylan Shiel as a straight swap for pick 1? as Shiel & Pick 3 seems overs IMO.plugger66 wrote:saintspremiers wrote:I agree with Bunk and would consider pick 1 for pick 3 and Shiel
