Milera?
couldnt see a thread on him on the first page so though i would start one .. with all the talk about what we are going to do with pick 1 ect would be interested to see what people think we will do with Milera
he wants out and the club have said they will help him but how do you think that will work ? i cant see either Port or the Crows exactly jumping to sign him so do we think it could be just a case of him being delisted or do we think we could toss Milera in as the "Steak knives " in another deal ?

Re: Milera?
If there is no interest, the club will probably de-list him !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Re: Milera?
The O'Shea rumour surfaced around the same time as Milera announcing he wanted out, so best case for us is that he is the steak knives that gets that deal over the line.
More likely, he will be delisted along with Schneider after trade week, prior to the list lodgement for finalising draft picks.

Re: Milera?
Only a cheap set of steak knives.
I think whoever looks at Milera will be waiting for the Saints to say, "but there's more" before they show any real interest.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Club won't cut Schneider like that. He'll either announce his retirement or he will play on.St Chris wrote:The O'Shea rumour surfaced around the same time as Milera announcing he wanted out, so best case for us is that he is the steak knives that gets that deal over the line.

Just a guess but if he hasn't announced his retirement by now, he will probably play on.

Re: Milera?
Can't see Milera playing afl football at Port or Crows. Just not hard enough and pretty much a witches hat defensively.

Re: Milera?
Afraid you're right, andrewg. Unfortunately I can't see us getting anything for him. Makes the Saad, Milera trade look like it will deliver nothing for us. At least Seb Ross is still about. Pity about Terry. I thought his best was good enough. Just couldn't produce it often enough.andrewg wrote:Can't see Milera playing afl football at Port or Crows. I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
Re: Milera?
See, I could see him playing at Port.
Being the Matty White type that sits back doesn't require that much of a defensive game.

Re: Milera?
Wanganeen was his mentor - so a move to Port would be natural but they won't give us much.

Re: Milera?
Likely outcome: delisted by St Kilda, mature-rookied by Port.
Be nice if we could package up a late pick with Milera to have go at sorting out John Butcher*.
I personally have big doubts on our existing key forwards and reckon we have to make some low-risk, high-reward trades in this area.

Problem is they have white and Jake Nead is streaks ahead of him.SainterK wrote:See, I could see him playing at Port.

As Coach Penn says in draft day, "I've got 42 Tarzans in that locker room I could do with a Jane!" for Terry unfortunately, Port have enough Janes as well.
Side note...The Draft Day movie is awesome! Could Pelchen do a Sonny this year?

I agree, they don't rely on heavy defence, they defend by attacking. Perfect for Terry.

The guy isn't good enough. He has hardly played this year. Could not see how he could get a game with Port. he will be delisted and like 99% of players who are delisted never play in the AFL again.

Re: Milera?
Maybe we could do a swap, Milera for Tom Clurey, who is stagnating on their list. 193 defender, taken in the 2012 draft.

Re: Milera?
Didn't I read on the club website some weeks ago........ that they are going to treat Schneider, like they did Jason Blake? And, Schneids was aware of that. I think it was in a comment that Pelchan made at some time.SaintPav wrote:Club won't cut Schneider like that. Re: Milera?
Jason Cripps (former Saint and Port List manager) was just asked if there was any interset in Terry Milera.
Categorically said they were NOT interested, reeled of half a dozen names of players who play the similar position already on their list.

Will he be kept on the list if we doesn't get picked up by another club? Or does he want to move to Adelaide regardless?

Obviously no hope of going to Port or the Crows, even as steak knives in another deal.
Unfortunately looks like he'll be back in the SANFL next season
