I'm still watching and love the show.

Im a big fan of Johann Wagner and I think he will win it. He reminds me a lot of Isaac Smith from Hawthorn.

Yeah I think he will win it aswell. Bit weird comparing him to Smith though 2 different footballer's lol

How is it weird? Wagner is 190cm 90kg Smith is 188cm and 85kg both play on a wing and the way he runs and moves is very similar to Smith..

Wagner won't play wing at the top level, look at his body shape. IMO he will play that third tall forward role if his good enough to even make it. as he seems to know where the goals are.

It is insightful that Port decided to draft him given than as a club through Burgess they probably had the most inside knowledge. If Burgess gave him a tick of approval, he obviously rates him highly. Says a lot.

Apparently, we couldn't take him as we'd already filled our quota of that type of rookie...so did 14 other clubs. Hence the reason that only three bid on him.

Yep, perhaps they filled the international quota only a day or two ago. Maybe they could have been able to bid however getting Padrig discounted that?

Fair enough mate point taken. I'd still question Ben Dixon's nous for being a coach/recruiter, can't take him serious one bit, but anyway he stills knows more than us doesn't he

My immediate thought with his selection of Port was they had inside information- given the fitness guy on the recruit was the Port Fitness guru.

Inside info? It was from all to see and anyway they are likely getting a guy who most likely will never play a game.
