Your mail is terrible.
Billings will be announced this week as part of the future fest.
I believe Bunk was being sarcastic jaxons.
Any trade mail this year mate?
Hi Old Mate
Will be in touch when I have news confirmed, I would hate to put anyone offside with the wrong information as so many on hear are so quick to scream Blue Murder.
What I will say is this, Blake Acres will be No.8 next year, and Christian Pettracca will be a Saint with our No.1 pick, unless we trade it!
You know what I would hate more. Letting information out that could hurt our club. If it doesn't then I don't care. The number Acres wears certainly doesn't hurt the club.
P66 - I agree with your sentiment, but in this case putting out some mail (whether true or not) that Petracca is our preferred pick will only drive up the value of the potential trades on offer - as it seems those clubs most interested in trading for pick 1 are doing so to get their hands on him and not Paddy.

I have no issue what he said in that post because we have pick one. Matter of fact if we don't trade it they could tell us straight away but if he said we were interested in someone as a lower pick I would have an issue because if any other club heard about that it could change their strategy.
Cheers Jaxons. It would certainly seem Petracca is now our man. A guy we can build our midfield around. Love the Acres commitment to the club too.
P66 it's obvious the stuff Jaxons has said is not to the detriment of the club and harmless info fans love to hear. Please don't ruin it for the guys that enjoy his info by scaring him off. Perhaps send him a PM instead?

Maybe the club wants a certain club to know we will be taking petracca and not a tall so they might be more inclined to swap their pick and players to no. 1....

I am in favour of his resigning, but 4 years is not a bad get for a first year player. let's hope that it is a win-win all around.
As for our No.1 pick, it's all and rumour and innuendo and great stuff for the drafting season. Those on Saintsational can say what they like. I doubt that anything that is said, would be unknown within the other Clubs - they all know who is who. Enjoy the ride to next year.
From what I've seen of acres, he is clever and deceptively strong. He will have have that ability to shake tacklers off because of his strong core. Could be our Nathan Fyfe

Just clarifying as there was lots of talk previously about McCartin.
Do the club give you permission to tell us?
Maybe I am part of the club.......
Yep maybe you are and maybe you aren't but question still stands.
I assure you there is nothing I would do to hurt the club.....I will tell you what everyone at the club is happy for you to know.
what a load of crap....when did an afl club ever state it would be happy for everyone to know who it was drafting before the draft actually took place....never......
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

I would imagine the club is doing everything it can short of a formal announcement to the press to convince GWS and Melbourne that we intend to select Petracca. I imagine we are directly telling GWS and Melbourne this is what we intend to do. If Pick 1 has any value at all it is based on the value those without it place on Christian Petracca.
As we are about to enter a trade period it is in everyones interest to know what we are trading when we offer pick 1.

Difference between Fyfe and Blake, Blake can actually hit a target by foot.
Smart getting on the front foot and putting it out there that we are getting Petracca as the clear #1, it pushes up the value of pick one and those like Dees/GWS have more pressing needs than the next two best players in the draft (fwds). If they want him bad enough they can pay for it, if they don't, well, hello Paddy Dangerfield mk2

To be fair when you have the first pick it doesn't matter who knows.
I find it interesting so many on here rate Acres so highly. I really hope its true but was wondering what this is based on? I've seen him play in a few games for the Sandy and the Saints, and he looks ok, but I'm wondering how we're so sure he will be a gun?

He has a very casual way about him. I thought the same that he seems to move slowly.
