Stupidity. Close.

Why is it stupid to have chosen Lee who has played more games than Jaksche? Jaksche might not end up being as good anyway. Right now we have Lee and we may even end up with Jaksche from the PSD why was it was stupidity?

Some further thoughts from Emma Quayle on the top picks, in the context of considering whether the Pies should match any offer for Darcy Moore under the father son rules.

You know how I feel about Lee! Lee might've played more games now but he's 23. Jaksche will be 10 times the player Lee will ever be.

Suss I think people are too quick to write off Tom LEE.

When he arrived obviously his fitness was not up standard, but then he had his injury concerns which are hardly conducive to improving your fitness levels. The club obviously think he has something to offer, I suggest he is worth waiting to see how he goes when he is %100 fit until we make statements like that regarding Jaksche.

I have never been on this website before - but looking at their predictions from last years draft and how it actually panned out in the season - they seriously know their stuff. Especially look at what they had to say about Lewis Taylor before the season started.

So Ill be looking fwd to their 2014 edition.

Con, Paige knows her stuff. She watches a lot of live TAC footy and speaks to a lot of club recruiters.

She's a Pies supporter but junior footy is her thing. She would watch more junior footy than AFL.

Wowee.
Going on that we have to take Petracca. I personally have absolutely no idea - but this lady sure seems to knows what shes talking about and I certainly aint going to argue.

Her phantom draft is very intriguing. She has McCartin and Wright taken at 4 and 5 which no one would have believed a few months ago. Although, a similar thing happened to Aish last year when he slid way further than expected.

She also seems to imply that she has knowledge that St Kilda would take McKenzie at 21.

Very interesting all round... you get the feeling that anywhere between 1 and 5 is a gamble.

He's contracted and about to play in a preliminary final. The rumour was BS.

Heard a whisper (Damien Barrett) that GWS were thinking about packaging up Jaksch, O'Rouke. If they were prepared to do this would we consider giving them pick 1 and something else in return. I think they'd want a lot more for that deal but could we be tempted to broker a deal!?

Jaksch and O'Rourke for pick 1? No chance we take that deal. GWS would in a heartbeat. I'm hoping you meant to include pick 3 as part of the deal? Jaksch, O'Rourke and 3 for 1? I would do that deal.

I notice Paige has Capiron at Pick 51, if he slipped that low I would take him with our 3rd pick in a heartbeat. Composed, a good leader, a decent size with silky skills, will push into the midfield easily once his body grows, otherwise an excellent young defender with great decision making skills and courage.

And he spent a bit of the pre-season training with us.

We should just take Petracca instead of some complicated risky combination of picks....its not like we're rising up the ladder anytime soon, get the best available

Confident that of our kids Billings and Dunstan could be elite, maybe Acres. Add Petracca and we start to have the next generation of star power.

Agree. When you think that Steven and Armitage will be around when these kids come good our midfield is starting to take shape.

Gut tells me pick 1 will get traded and it will likely be gws as they are able to offer up the best deal.

Can't wait for November!!

Is it possible that they are trying to do something similar to last years effort where we let McEvoy go because we knew we could replace him with Longer and then come out in front on all the draft picks swaps on the way through?

Just wondering (if there's any truth in it) if they may be looking at offloading Stanley and picking up Jones as a stright swap and trying to come out in front at the end on the draft pick side of things??

The problem with that is Jones is no good and he cant ruck so who is the second ruckman?
