He looks big enough to me

http://www.saints.com.au/news/2014-08-2 ... e-to-debut

We saw him preseason at the JO training and he's bulked up heaps since he was drafted. Looks thicker trough the top half of his body and he already had well developed legs. He looks a footballers build. I see him turning into a G train size long term. He seems a nice young guy too. Good luck to him. Go baby snake. If his intensity ever catches up to his talent the comp had better watch out.

We are going in to this game with another experienced side.

If you look at the 18 on the ground there are only two actual young guys . Longer and Wright. That is it.
So really there is no excuse for us not being competitive.

Depends on what you define 'experienced' as?
Newnes
Murdoch
Weller
Ross
White
Curren
are 6 names to add to the 2 you have which makes up over a third of the team.

That is pretty funny con, throw in Shenton and there are 9 guys with under 50 games,

The starting 18 does look pretty experienced though.

This sort of slack under-achieving attitude is why we are on the bottom of the ladder!

I demand a minimum of three goals from his first kick, or show him the door!

Go Spenc-aarrrrrrh Buddy White... whether it all starts tomorrow, or not till next year... you will eventually end up an absolute star. The hype is justified! 8-)

We dont have a young side . People need to face it. Some of those with under 50 games are well into their 20s (e.g Shenton Weller Curren).
Our starting 18 is closer to Dads Army than a young side. We are all kidding ourselves if we think we are on the bottom because we are young. We are far from the youngest list in the comp.

Joey
Dempster
Fisher
Gilbert
Armo
Ray
Hayes
Jones

Noone can hand on heart honestly tell me we have a young side in.

The way I see it we only have four kids - Longer, Wright, White, Murdoch.

No excuses for any of the other 18 blokes out there.

You started this talking about experience… not kids.

Why are you talking about excuses, you know very well why we lose every week… our stars are past it & the rest of our list is very ordinary side apart from a couple of exciting kids (who aren't playing this week). It's not an excuse, it's just a simple explanation of reality.

Shenton, Curren, Weller, Ross etc might not be 18, but they are still pretty raw (& maybe just s***). I'm tipping Richmond will have less than 9 players with under 50 games experience yeah?

I agree with everything u just said dragit.
the tiges have a big bunch of blokes in the 50-150 games range and we wont improve until we do the same.

I guess I just get frustrated that some on here won't accept that as you say most of our older guys are past it.
they keep saying all the old players are still champs but we are losing because we are only playing kids.
it is a kind of cognitive dissonance.

having said that we should get within 5 goals ud hope.

Maybe, but I reckon they are at least a 2 goals per quarter better side than us going on form.

Starting 18? Are we back in the 70's? Its a starting 21 for a start and secondly when has the 18 in the paper lined up like it says anyway? I think Con is taking the piss.

I don't know who will be the handed the mighty No 4 jumper after the game.

However, I can confirm that after the game, 'Deemsy will be out on the ground to personally rip the jumper from Clint's back.
Breen, Baldock, Lockett, Jones....?

Not being good enough isnt an excuse? Why didnt Melbourne play better yesterday or Carlton on Friday night?

Well Spencer doesn't look immature at all.
going on that video his main weakness is the chest mark.

But I dont see him getting pushed around. He looks old enough.
Let him rip.

Is that the best answer you can come with. Whats melbourne and carlton reason for failure? Its quite obvious why you are saying there is no excuse for crap foot. Others may fall for it but when we lose today you can have another pot shot at the coach. Can you actually explain why there is no reason for crap footy today.

G train? Not a hope. The club wouldnt let him and he hasnt got that build anyway.
ok know it all. How would u know what the club would let him do?
Firstly ur not an insider. So stop making out and insinuating you are. It is sad.
Secondly if you were an insider then the club must be run by half wits and will be on the bottom for decades.

Did you fail plastercine at school? Im no insider but I have common sense. A thing that becomes more obvious by the day you dont have. Unless the game changes they arent going to want White to get anywhere near a build like G. Its a running game now Con. You have a go at others for thinking in the past but all you do id think in thr past like mentioning starting 18. Hilarious stuff. makes a poor day a lot of fun. Now its about time you moved again Con beofre they chase you down.

When G came back for the few game stint he was a liability. He was zoned off anytime the ball wasn't a mark and kick at goal from him.

It's all about BuddyWhite today. Tiges will explode themselves if they win and are in the 8.

.....and then go down to the Swines next week to finish Tiger Ninth!

The good thing is on the G Spencer will have a lot of room to work in if he gets on his bike. I'd love to see the team make it a focus of getting it to White early so he can take an early grab, get rid of some nerves and relax into the game.
