God you post some garbage, Saunders is still only 19 and only played 20 games, his disposal averages are respectable for his age and experience but more importantly he provides two things that we are really going to need in the next few years, outside pace and ferociousness.
As for White having his first and only chance? what a ridiculous statement.

You really have no idea… If White plays, it certainly isn't his last chance.
Tough on Saunders too. He's fast and has some really solid vfl form. Like Ross he will prove a few wrong over the next few years.

stanley would have to miss.

if longer is named in the ruck you'd think he is playing.

pierce would have to play ruck/fwd role in tandem with longer, with stanley out for him.

i guess gwilt misses for white. don't think it works any other way. in fact, don't think that works at all.

ok, scratch all logic as shenton is named at full forward.

white in to FF for shenton

bench of:
shenton
pierce
murdoch
ross

gwilt, stanley & jones to miss

Come on Kosi! Saunders has been basically a regular all year. Nobody expected him to play all year. He's done a great job but it's been a long season for the young man.

pretty obvious that Stanley is facing a fitness test

This is his second year and he's only played 10 games in 22 weeks. The same as he played in his first year.

It's a longshot, but it would be great to see Spencer kick a couple and shut up KB, who has been running the line on SEN that White doesn't actually exist.

I'd like to see Stanley keep playing unless he's injured which a few have mentioned here. Thought he did well with limited opportunity on the weekend, kicked some really good goals, holds his place if fit for mine.

If he's out, I can see Pierce coming in for Stanley and us playing two rucks, and White in for Gwilt. As for Jones, he could come in for Saunders, or Weller or Curren could go out too.

Good luck to one or both of the debutants on the weekend, would just love it if either or both played really well and has a positive impact on the game!!

Unless Longer is injured then Pierce cannot play and if it was a Saturday game he wouldnt really get mentioned as he is just an emergency. Sunday games force the club to put the emergencies in the 25. Doubt White plays either unless Stanley is injured.

I can't see that having named Pierce and White in what will be their first games, that they will not play them. There is no strategic need to play games with team listings at this time of year.

They havent been named, they have been named in the 25. White may have already been named as an emergency this year and this is exactly the same thing. We are probably down to 30 players so it isnt that hard to get in the 25.

Do reckon White will have to transcend the spirit of Buddy, Lockett and Dunstall combined in is debut game to convince the club he shouldn't be delisted?

Strange to give him his first game against a team that will be keen to tear us a new one especially on the back of ARs comments this week regarding players having two game left, whether they be in the seniors or at Sandy, to prove themselves.

Just reckon based on ARs comments if White hasn't already had his papers stamped why not just leave him in Sandy because from all reports he hasn't been setting the world on fire for Sandy, save for the odd aberration.

I wonder if they are giving him a game just so they can say to the supporters...we gave him a go, sounds silly based on the investment made to date.

White is no chance of being delisted. None.

Then the next two weeks are going to be the most fascinating of the whole season in terms of trying to guess delistings at seasons end.

So with Savage now out, do we make a change to the 25?? Does Saunders get a reprieve, and push Newnes deeper into defence?? Do we go back to Roberton??

Ever since Richo mentioned him as a chance to have a look at probably 6-7 weeks ago, I was hoping we'd see the youngster debut this season (I'm sure Bruce's injury paved the way). It's just exciting to see someone with 'potential' to be a very mercurial player in a saints jersey...people have to admit, apart from billings and before that Stanley, I can't remember the last debutant who had some potential 'x factor in the last 5-6 yrs'! Good luck young fella, and I hope he is well aware that not everything hinges on Sunday, but that he will soon see what it takes at the highest level!!
