Bump.

Our percentage is still only 61. Can we beat 65? If we don't, we will be left with our poorest percentage for 59 years!!!
This would be a massive kick in the guts for us as a club - reeks of uncompetitiveness.

What was our percentage from 1983 to 1986 when we were massive rubbish also? What about 2000 to 2002??

1983 - 78.6
1984 - 75.5
1985 - 64.7
1986 - 71.9
2000 - 70.5
2001 - 72.6
2002 - 78.6

and 1979 was another atrocious season, when we lost a match by a record margin 178 points and suffered losses by 100 points against Carlton and Footscray as well, and still managed a % of 65%.

I think if our percentage is lower than those shocking eras it is evidence that we are starting on a very loooong road back.

So the club saying we will win a flag by 2020 is fanciful isn't it, especially given there are now 18 teams not 16 or 12 like in those eras!

Im struggling to get your point. Its probably fanciful considering we have won one in 140 years but I dont get why the percentage now means we cant win one in 6 years.

We were a top four side five seasons after the first period above, and just two seasons after the second period.

So in the space of 6 years, we have gone from a club record percentage of 155.71% in 2009 to some other record low of 61.3% in 2014.

That's not a bad effort.
