After the no.1 pick, after our %
It would be tough. Based on our normal losing margin they would have to lose the last 3 games by an average of about 150 points per game.

I'm not one to rejoice in another club's woes, but after all the hype regarding the " super coach " recruitment, etc pre-season, I'm even more positive about the direction OUR club is going in!

Re: Melbourne Tanking
Melbourne play WCE away then North
We have Tigers then Adelaide away.
A race to the bottom, but we have about 8% on them so MCartin or Petracca seem safe

Like we have said to the hysterics on here about Richo, you could have a combo of Clarkson, Lyon, Malthouse, Barrassi, and Sheedy at the Dees ATM and it wouldn't help.thejiggingsaint wrote:I concur with your concurrence ! So Lyon isn't a good coach. One of the best currently???
Get over it FFS, we are talking about Melbourne going after our prize and you want to take it OT.

Cattle, literally, would've done better. The only embarrassment is that we will finish below them. A chilling reminder that early draft picks, no matter how many, do not, by themselves, guarantee success. Their nuclear winter looks set to continue for some time. I just hope we don't join them.Bunk_Moreland wrote:Like we have said to the hysterics on here about Richo, you could have a combo of Clarkson, Lyon, Malthouse, Barrassi, and Sheedy at the Dees ATM and it wouldn't help.thejiggingsaint wrote:I concur with your concurrence ! I'll say it again, St Kilda may not playing brilliant football, but in comparison to the utter crap Melbourne is dusting up, wer're doing ok.

Had lunch with a family member who supports the Dees. Turned the TV on and first thing they complained about was the small crowd.
I subtly pointed out the irony of their comment.

I don't think Melbourne have suffered the injuries we have had through the season.
Was there anyone of any importance out for them.

Actually let's face it, neither of these sides are any good, we beat them both.

Re: Melbourne Tanking
Somehow in this new 'fairer' 'seeded' draw we only get our two closest competitors once. Not much doubt a second meeting with Melbourne would see us win, unless we wanted the no.1 pick more. They are a rabble and any progress they have made just vanished against a team with one on the bench and it's two captains and top forward injured in game, and two of their best in Coniglio and Cameron also unavailable. The wooden spoon looks ours, but we are not the worst team this year.
