Minchington showed a fair bit in second half.
Not sure about White or the 2 ruckmen on what I saw on tv in second half,
TDL kicked 4 using space that won't very often be available in AFL.

sandy will play finals now
Was only 2 points inside the 8 at the time, todays win and a loss to geelong puts them safely 6 points inside the 8. Great news for the developing players.

Sandy seem to have done better with less Saints players in the side.

Great game from Minch, easily the best Saints player today. Holmes was good too. I reckon they should both play for the Saints next week.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Didnt see either game today but was Longer no good. Dont see the point in play Minchington because he cant play anyway and most likely wont be on the list next year.

Longer was terrible and unfortunately I don't think Pierce did much today.plugger66 wrote:Jacks Back wrote:Great game from Minch, easily the best Saints player today. Holmes was good too. I reckon they should both play for the Saints next week.

Clint Jones didn't play. A bloke call Matthew Kreymborg (17) looked good but he doesn't seem to be on our list. The stats say he is only 185cm and seems to have been around for a couple of years at Sandy.
As I mentioned previously, Darren Minchington was by far the best, but he is unlikely to make it in the senior side as he can kick with both feet.

They're probably more cohesive. Having more Saints players unsettles the side. You end up with half doing one thing and half doing something else. That's my take anyway.plugger66 wrote:Solar wrote:yep, could finish as high as 7th by my reading of it.plugger66 wrote:Solar wrote:sandy will play finals now

Did Acres play in the development squad? I didn't see him in the senior side.

Spot on about Minch, maybe too much skill for our side.perfectionist wrote:Clint Jones didn't play. A bloke call Matthew Kreymborg (17) looked good but he doesn't seem to be on our list. The stats say he is only 185cm and seems to have been around for a couple of years at Sandy.

Bit harsh on Pierce. He played most of the game in the forward line and kicked a couple goals.Jacks Back wrote: Longer was terrible and unfortunately I don't think Pierce did much today.

He looks as agile as Jacobs, Minson, sandilands, maric...you get the drift...Ruckmen take time to develop. He'll be a beast of a man once fully developed...will he be a beast of a footballer...time will tell...saint6709 wrote:Billy looks like a plodder to me - he is young and raw and will get bigger and stronger - but he won't become more agile

Re: VFL Rd 19 Sandringham Vs Werribee- ABC tv
Separate deal. We got pick 25 and Delaney for Dal Santo and pick 77. We then gave 25 and 41 to Brisbane for Longer and 48. Then used 48 to get Bruce.stinger wrote:Was billy the only compo we got for dal.........if so I want dal backsaint6709 wrote:Billy looks like a plodder to me - he is young and raw and will get bigger and stronger - but he won't become more agile
To sum it up we gave up Dal, pick 41 and 77 for Delaney, Bruce and Longer.
