Rooey shanks kick for goal. Then goes for the hero 'redemption bomb'.

Re: Saints v Dish Lickers Match thread
Well Seb Ross has been scoring goals in the VFL - so nice to show he can do it at AFL level. Well done. Nice solo goal.
Follows it up with big tackle.
Showing he wants to be in the AFL next year.

So when he kicked the previous goal from 50m out on the boundary line, we weren't in it?Con Gorozidis wrote:Rooey 1 on 1 . Too good in the marking contest.
But as usual when game is in balance - he shanks his shot on goal and we lose momentum with a rebound goal.

Make's a diff if you actually try. In the 300 club if anyone wants to join me for a beer.
Can't believe I writing this at the game. I've broken my cherry.

I think we try every week. We just lack polish, kicking skills and pace.SaintPav wrote:Make's a diff if you actually try. In the 300 club if anyone wants to join me for a beer.

Good qr. We showed a fair bit.8856brother wrote:Great qtr. Back in the game. Should be closer. Having areal crack.
Remember these guys are 13th or whatever and only won 6 games. So they will have some down time. If we can score when we have momentum we are a chance. I think Jack and Armo are our two most important players.

Now that I think about it, Riewoldt has never kicked pressure goals against the Bulldogs.Con Gorozidis wrote:Referring to momentum. So no we werent. Re: Saints v Dish Lickers Match thread
Faaark. Typical Gilbo. Does awesome play, breaks tackle and line then shocking turnover kick - then misses tackle. Dogs goal.
Seriously if you cant hit a target hit the boundary or a 50:50 or find a handball. Gilbo manages to kick it straight to Murphy who is free. Game over.
F*******CK.

Schneider is on the ground. At least we know hes playing.
Just lurked himself a goal from a free that wasnt his. I guess thats why everyone calls him a 'clever' player.

Re: Saints v Dish Lickers Match thread
Am sick of watching this fake delayed game so have checked the current score. Not getting any entertainment form watching us make another shite team look great.
I might keep the tv on if I can be bothered. But will prolly just keep checking the real score on the net and may listen to net radio coverage

Our backline / midfield is so bad..whenever the opposition run with the ball all they have to do is run into open space on the forward line...we do not close down these spaces.

OMG did you see Schneids attempted 'chase' on Bontempelli just then? Comical.mad saint guy wrote:. Defensive efforts from Schneider and Savage have been embarrassing. I'd be tempted to sub Murdoch on for Schneids, even if he doesn't get a kick again you know he'll provide pressure.

Re: Saints v Dish Lickers Match thread
Quick question.
Is it a strategy to concede the corridor or are we just too slow to get back in there?
It seems they have 3 or 4 free blokes in the centre of the ground regularly.
Are we trying to get the ball on to the wings?
We need to defend and hold the ball across the middle to have any chance.

Lenny gets a great goal - worth the price of admission just for that moment.
But it'd be nice if this team WINS the bloody game for him!
