11 am into eastern states may be testing the friendship with many- I would have thought 12 more likely and push the Essendon Pies back a little... 2.45

how long before Eddies responds?

Why?

Most people are awake by then.

That gives a 1pm kick off in Welly which is great for families. Might head over there again now!

We need the money, and why would 11am bother any Saints supporters, unless they're involved in the march?

they query I would expect to come would be from the historic ' general concensus' across Australia ( and NZ although it will be later then) that events / shops/ etc etc not resume business till after 12... and Marches in Australia will barely be finished..- if not finished by the time the game starts

not a concern from saints supporters.

So that's 9.00am for our Perth supporters..... They should be back from Dawn Service by then (unless they caught up in the two-up crowd)

Got to say its pretty ordinary having sport on before 1pm. I know its only on TV but that has been the rule for years in Australia and IMO should still be the rule even if the game is in NZ.

Well plugs you man of tradition you'd be wrapt there is no Good Friday footy next season.

It's only TV the march has finished well before then and remember with all the immigrants that now livenin our great land a lot of us don't have links to Aussie war soldiers .

I will personally feel a bit awkward having a beer before 12pm.

I dont care if they play good friday but i also dont think they need to. A Friday without footy doesnt hurt anyone and it wont be the Saints involved most likely so its just another game on the background at my annual GF BBQ.

Yep i know its only TV and I know the march is finished but it has been tradition or maybe even a rule that there can be no paid sport on before 1pm on Anzac day and even though its on TV I would really like that to continue. Im sure many couldnt give a rats but I do. Got no idea what the immigrants have to do with anything.

Disrespectful to the Anzacs and their memory to have it on prior to 12.00 pm.

Ok so make it a 12.10 start then and push back the Eddoefest game an hour.

Speak to your local RSL about it and they can lobby on your behalf .

Is 11 too early for a beer?

Id be pretty sure they will be kicking up a fuss without people asking them to do it.

Seems like you only get upset when it effects your religion. Selfish and arrogant

You may not respect what returned servicemen and women did for this country but I and millions of others do, and couldn't give a stuff about some pissant football match.

I hate this disrespect. Appalling

Settle down JB.

I never said I disrespected them. Make it 12 and all is fine.

Shame you are treating our huge money spinner with disrespect calling it a pissy footy match.

New nick, same attitude sadly.

Right? Maybe the day should be one of quiet reflection?

I prefer it that way. If it was a daytime slot we would have beaten Brisbane due to not having a wet grassy night.

They haven't taken into account those who will have a hangover that day

Footy is too self obsessed at the moment.

Too opinionated.

Flexing its muscles.

Keep it simple already.
