Young Saints in Sandi's best - Gr8 news!!
Reading the report from Sandi's win over Richmond, it was exciting to see a host of our young saints listed players in the 'Best'. Guys like Minchi, Saunders, Ross...This is genuinely exciting and what we need to be seeing from our youngsters...demanding selection with consistent good performances in the 2's. Whilst not as noticeable as the wins/losses columns for our senior side - as a club, good positive vibes from our Saints listed players can only be a very good thing around training! Makes for good tough descions at selection committee.

It is very pleasing agree.
OK Saunders hasnt set the world on fire on the AFL but hes been very consistent at VFL level and he is only 19 - so that is a great sign that he has the right mental application to make it.

Young Ross won them the game. Good to see a kid asserting himself at an important time. Spencer kicked a few, Saunders BOG from some. Fantastic effort.

This kid is 19 and has played 19 games of AFL footy already - I think he's going pretty well - could be very good by the time he's 21-22Con Gorozidis wrote:It is very pleasing agree.

Saunders was very good, he is so hard at it and has pace to burn, White was as strong in the air as I have seen but he still struggles to chase and harass if he doesn't win possession.
Ross had an average first 3 quarters but virtually won the game off his own boot in the last qtr. The sealer goal he kicked was a ripper.
Other kids were also more than respectable, Wright is starting to find more of the ball and getting some confidence again. I love his straight line running and his attack on the ball. Pierce will be a good ruck man in a few years time.

Interesting to see Dunell and Milera stand up again. These two are probably on the chopping block this year, but have consistently shown that they are too good for VFL. Will they both be de-listed, and if so will other clubs have a look at them?
