Re: Who's heading Up ..?
I was set to get up there with my kid now junior footy is over but my wife organised a dinner party. It's f%$#ed up weather and I could have been in shorts right now.

Didn't think there was any parking there? Last time I drove to Helensvale station, took a train to Nerang then shuttle bus to the ground. It's a pain in the arsewally wrote:Driving down from bris.,bus idea sounds good, last time there carpark was really slow (old ground)
I was just going to do that again unless anyone has a better suggestion?

Re: Who's heading Up ..?
To my knowledge NO PUBLIC PARKING
But if you book into the supporter function which is free for 4 people you can get a park at Emerald Lakes GC across the road
And they monitor parking on the road to Royal Pines more closely now as well

Still your best option Joffa. What I do thought is park near Nerang station and get on the us there. It cuts out waiting for the train after the game. They do put extra trains on but not till the end of the game.
There are parking spots opposite the ground that cost like $10 but I think you have to book them

I'm heading to the pre-game function. I missed training yesterday due to a meeting running late.....pissed off is an understatement....hoping today makes up for it.

I'll be there. About 10 of us near cheer squad - can't miss us - we'll have about 8 placards varying from 'Love The Lenny', 'Welcome Back Jack', 'Nick - Longest Serving Captain' and others

It was great meeting True Believer and his brother at the pre-game function. Great to see Saint Bev and Murray.
(That was the highlight because the game was just awful!)
Couldn't find you, stevie.....and it sounds like stinger went straight to the game.

Who got the off-field votes?
Any off-field reports? Stats on beers drunk etc

Re: Who's heading Up ..?
None from the function....... However, I did see 3 young Saints supporters (well early 20's..that's young to me) being escorted away by G.C Constabulary just after 3/4 time.
..no idea what they'd done.... looked like blatant victimisation and police brutality to me.
....oh yea, won a new Saints Cap in the raffle at the function..so that was a bonus.

Re: Who's heading Up ..?
Didn't get to the function as the buses didn't start leaving Nerang station till 530. I walked around the ground trying to spot people or be spotted I guess. Filmed the Saints arriving off the bus and got a great pic of Roo having a kick on the boundary with Chips during the reserves game.BakesFan wrote:It was great meeting True Believer and his brother at the pre-game function.
