Re: Beau announces retirement
Well done playing AFL footy with such limited ability. All the best Beaumeister.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: Beau announces retirement
Beau played a big part in our wins early in the season. Without those we would have officially been declared a basket case and hunted by the media relentlessly. Gutsy player - never once saw him take a short step. Hope the big fella is successful in whatever he pursues.

Re: Beau announces retirement
I went to Twitter expecting Tilbey to have threatened Beau with violence, as it turned out he'd thrown a cream puff.kosifantutti wrote:Thanks for having a crack with the Saints Beau. Good luck with whatever is next in your life.
BTW. Who is Chris Tilbey and what did he write?
I liked the way Beau gave his all, although the more he tried the more he showed his football foibles.
Did Maister do better than Wilkes ?
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Thanks, Beau.
Some good highlights here. Plenty of marks that stuck. He must have been down on confidence and lost his mojo this year.

Big chance Chris Tilbey would not say that to his face.plugger66 wrote:Did you see what that Chris Tilbey wrote. Seriously some supporters disgust me. I honestly hope he does never attend a game of ours. Dont know him but what one sad individual. Anyway well done Beau. No one could say you didnt give 100% every game apart from that moron on Twitter. Im sure they named that after him.
Weak as p*ss.
Gave it his all, can't ask for any more.
Good luck in the future Beau

I like Beau. Had a couple of really solid games the past few years. Always gave 100%. Good luck for the future Beau, back to carpentry, I reckon.

I met him at training and he was a really nice bloke. Good on him for living the dream twice...twice more than me. Well done and best wishes for the future.

I met him at a family day shortly after he signed for us. His attitude and positive outlook really impressed me, he was basically a good bloke! I wish the Meister man every success in life!

Well done Beau, effort and commitment could not be questioned. Supporters can't ask for more. Hope you leave with some great memories.
That wouldn't be Steve Kilbey would it?The OtherThommo wrote:I do recall 1 Tilbey of note - Steve. At least he had some grounds to be arrogant, and lyricise about it.kosifantutti wrote:Thanks for having a crack with the Saints Beau. Good luck with whatever is next in your life.

As for Chris of the same handle?

Yeah, I thought he was referring to Steve Kilbey from The Church too… "There'll never be another quite like you"

Beau, thank you for your contribution to St Kilda FC.
A gutsy warrior, you always gave 100% effort. What more could anyone ask?
Good luck for your future!

I hope you remember your time as a Saint more fondly than your time as an Eagle.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Re: Beau announces retirement
....gave his heart...but was simply not good enough...not his fault...but a wasted draft pick all the same
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will
