Currently we have Hickey, Gilbert, Markworth, acres, Steven, Maister, Siposs, Geary, Lee, templeton and Webster all unavailable. Holmes did a knee in the first qtr and took no further part.
The Sandy listed players apart from Cockie (who didn't play) cook, shakalis aren't great
That's probably the reason that we were smashed.
Cockie was still serving his suspension after the Port game
and the following were all out before the game
Not far from the bounce... Out of the selected side is Munro, McTaggart, Shenton & Zijai.
Munro and Zijai had been having good years

Holmes - Rolled ankle
Pierce then had to ruck
he als was limping after being smashed by the much bigger cats
Simpkin nose
TDL was also limping second half.

by the end of the game the Sandy players were cramping and almost keeling ver as there were limited rotations.

How were the scores at quarter time. Anyway who cares. They arent the Saints and in another year and a bit they will be hated opposition.

have been trying to think of the movie where there is fog and you climb the mountains past it to enter whole new world. ( need to be older than many)

but it was eeerie.. and I'm guessing Sandy players wished it would reappear later in the game to dissapear into

small defence of the team- Lot the Sandy players are young including the newest player straight from the sandy Dragons
and the Cats players appeared 10 cm, 10 kg and 5 years older....

St Kilda assistant coach Paul Hudson discusses every St Kilda player who played for Sandringham on Sunday

Tom Simpkin
He was in the play a lot because the ball spent so much of the game in our defence. He did a good job with it all as probably our only experienced Saints defender in amongst an inexperienced Sandy backline. Tommy took a few good marks and was quite solid for the entire game.

Terry Milera
Terry was a bit in and out of the game, as were most of our players to be honest. He kicked a goal for us and always looked dangerous.

Trent Dennis-Lane
TDL had a quiet game yesterday. He was involved a few times but just couldn’t impact the game as much as he has done in previous weeks.

Sam Dunell
Sammy didn’t have a lot of it. His marking is a real barometer for him but he didn’t take too many and he ended up spending some time behind the ball to try and stem the flow of Geelong goals.

Darren Minchington
Minchi was pretty good for us. He looked lively, kicked a couple of goals and was one of our better players. Darren’s defensive pressure was also reasonable which was good to see.
Jason Holmes
Unfortunately Holmesy went down with an ankle injury towards the end of the first term and didn’t come back on to the field.

Clint Jones
Jonesy was our highest possession winner. You just know what you’re going to get from him: he wins the hard ball and always shows great endeavour in the clinches.

Lewis Pierce
Lewis had to stand up once Holmesy went down and he did quite well. He ran out of petrol tickets a little bit towards the end of the game, but he took some strong marks and contributed around the ground. His second efforts at ground level were also pleasing.

Seb Ross
Sebby got his hands on it and also laid some good tackles. But what was most pleasing about his game was his spread from stoppages, using his legs and running extremely well.

Nathan Wright
Wrighty did what he usually does. He attacked the footy and played predominantly at half-back, but his ball use was marginally off. That was just rustiness after missing the past couple of games. A player of his ilk won’t take long to get back into the swing of things though.
