Re: Armo .. breakout game
In his eighth season?
Actually, I think his breakout game was also in Tasmania. Round 19 2009 against Hawthorn. He got three BM votes. What a day that was.

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Contrary to the doom and gloom, we have some young blokes who may well be tough nuts like Wright, Ross, Curran, Mich, Newnes, Dunstan
These blokes have hardly started their AFL careers. You can see what they will do once they have a bit of meat on their bones. Look at Armo and Shenton. Around the mature age and looking like they are strong at the ball.
Hold your nerve Saints we have more Armo's in the making.
You are garbage - Enough said

if they trade him...well that would be just about it for me....might even consider burning the grandstand down...if we had one....White Winmar wrote:Has increased his trade value today. The pelican will be rubbing his hands together !

Re: Armo .. breakout game
Certainly Armo was our best today. I thought that if we had kicked better in that first 1/4 (particularly the first ten- twelve minutes) and got a couple of goals , then the confidence would have been higher for the team. I know we've got to persevere with Stanley, but gee I wish he'd have kicked better.

plus he should have got a 50 to put him 15 metres out, was a disgrace that it was not paidSainterK wrote:stats for the day. 30 disposals, 13 contested, 10 clearances, 11 tackles, 8 inside 50's, 2 goals and an assist

All of our kicking for goal was terrible -even shots from 30 metres with no pressurethejiggingsaint wrote:Certainly Armo was our best today. And that's what you want from a captain.
Time to hand over the reigns Nick ,but please do it with grace and dignity.
Re: Armo .. breakout game
There's a new maturity to Armo this year no doubt - he doesn't disappear from games like he used to. He will never be elite because of his disposal. Today was a better one from him disposal wise but he will have worse games than this. He could be that Sewell or Lewis type hard nut in our premiership team.
