Re: MATCH THREAD v Nth Melbourne !!
That quarter was much better, we were winning the contest, but unfortunately letting ourselves down with skill errors and obviously goal kicking.
Re: MATCH THREAD v Nth Melbourne !!
Hayes & Armo working well together, 27 between them, 9 clearances...

Saintsational must have gone into meltdown after that game.Enrico_Misso wrote:SorryEnrico_Misso wrote:R15 1900
That was the last time we failed to score a goal in a game.

Umpires have been good.
Kicking for goal excellent.

Ahhh not good ey guys.
Gwilt. Why was he not dropped? He is not trying. Has to be dropped for the sake of club going forward.
We win contested ball, we win general play at times. Not all bad. We will be fine in a few years.
Reiwoldt how good is he? Ok he hasnt kicked well but wow. The way he works and marks is the best of all time. ALL TIME. No forward has ever run THAT hard or taken THAT many marks. Guy is courageous beyond any player. Shouldve captained back to back flags. He basically did. His fault the ball bounced against us? no.

Re: MATCH THREAD v Nth Melbourne !!
The disappointing thing about this game is the number of players with enough experience who should be doing a whole lot better, but the body language is not great. I don't think I have ever seen such a hopeless midfield in all the years I've been watching the game. Lenny going hard at it, Roo trying hard, as is Armo and Hickey, with Billing, Newnes, Dunell getting hands on ball a bit more later in the 2nd Q, but jeez, there's a few players who should hand back their pay after this effort. If there's any structure or gameplan out there, then I don't see it, just an undisciplined team who look lost.

You would think a bloke playing for his career would be putting in a bit more.SMS wrote:Ahhh not good ey guys.

At least Fisher and Dunnell, Stanley are having a dip.
Roberton is another who has really dissappointed after last year.
Some papers are being stamped in these last rounds.

Confidence is an amazing thing. A little bit can take you a long way, unfortunately the lack of confidence can spread through a team like a wild fire.spert wrote:The disappointing thing about this game is the number of players with enough experience who should be doing a whole lot better, but the body language is not great. Our senior players are low on confidence and this doesn't help the young ones. Its hard, they have played in finals for years and must be frustrating to be
floundering at the bottom.
Need a good sports psyc to get into the team.
I feel for them, and refuse to heap crap on them. I choose to believe it can be turned around.
Go Saints

Re: MATCH THREAD v Nth Melbourne !!
Positives for me so far.....
1.Hickey taking multiple strong marks around the ground!!
2. Stanley leading well and taking several good marks
3. Dunstan playing a good rounded first half
4. Fisher getting thru 1st half unscathed minus a head cut and looking better as the games gone on
5. Lenny playing a beauty
6. Gwilt having a stinker to put another nail in his impending delisting (oh sorry, I've been brain washed by that f***wit Brereton)
7. Still a half of footy to improve...we have been quite competitive, and have finally had a day were Rhys and Rooey and the rest of the team left there kicking boots in melbourne, scoreboard pressure is the only thing lacking from that half of solid effort...come on boys!!!!!!!!

Delaney getting caned
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Re: MATCH THREAD v Nth Melbourne !!
Actually thought Gwilts been doing quite well.
Delany having a howler.
Fish is still a class above.
Disappointed in Newnes & Ross. Done next to nothing.
