Gee I wonder if White will be VFL 1sts standard soon? I know he's had injury issues but seems way off debuting

The Injury list will be updated as required throughout the season.

Blake Acres Ankle 1 week
Sam Fisher Back Test
Sam Gilbert Foot 5 weeks
Jarryn Geary Elbow 2 months
Eli Templeton Arm 2 months
Daniel Markworth Hamstring 9-10 weeks
http://www.saints.com.au/news/2014-06-2 ... for-fisher
Young Saint Daniel Markworth is also set to be sidelined for a significant period of time after he was also injured while playing for the Zebras.

Markworth suffered a severe hamstring injury that will rule him out for 9-10 weeks. The injury was to his right leg – the same leg on which he injured his knee in late 2012.

The two injuries are not related as Markworth had a patella graft, as opposed to a hamstring graft when he had the ACL surgery in December, 2012.

"Daniel has already confronted some challenges in his relatively short career so we expect that he will overcome this injury with the same level of commitment and professionalism as he has previously displayed," Pelchen said.

Tom Simpkin has been cleared of any shoulder damage after coming off early in last week’s loss to West Coast. Simpkin was subbed off during the Sunday’s clash, mainly due to a shoulder problem but will be fit to take on Richmond this week.

First-year player Luke Dunstan will also be available for selection after missing last week’s game against the Eagles.

Just watched the Injury Update with physio Andrew Wallis and heard him say Sam Gilbert was 5 weeks away and would play after the bye. Having looked at the fixture we dont have any byes for the rest of the season, does anyone know what he means by this.

Any updates on Webster? Has he just rolled his ankle or is it another foot issue? I hear he cancelled his 21st party at the last minute yesterday. A few who would have flown out from Tassie were probably a bit disapointed. Doesn't sound the best.

Pity Spencer White injured again.....

His 3.4 on the weekend in Sandy seniors may have given his confidence a boost...

Has not been able to settle at this stage....and mature his game in Sandy seniors

Hope he finishes the year off well.....and works really hard this next pre-season (fitness/hunger for AFL chance)

The Age this morning had Jimmy webster as "season".
I have not seen anything on the injury lists to say he will even miss a week.
Does anyone know if this is accurate?

Good spotting, he's not in the AFL/Saints injury lists, interesting.

The Age also lists him as having a foot injury. Not another one! It must be some sort of record. I think that makes it eight players with foot problems this year, if correct. Maybe the foot is the new hamstring.

Dissapoiinting for Webster and you never like to see a player have an extended spell on the sideline. I guess one thing to come out of it has been his ability to get through 2/3 of the season and chalk up a decent games tally. Depending on the type of fracture, if it was traumatic, ie lisfranc injury, i'd be surprised if he could jog off the ground as he did, which could point ot more of a pre exsisting stress reaction turning into a stress fracture during the game...either way, it doesn't sound massively structural, and so shouldn't have long term consequences such as an ACL...so fingers crossed he does a bucket load of weights in the offseason and gets his upper body stronger, and then has a good long running pres season to attack next year well!

It also gives guys like Wright, Acres, Bruce, Murdoch more potential game time.
