Saints v North in Hobart
For those interested you can do a day trip return with Jetstar 12/7 for under $80 (departing very early) or a bit over $100 if you leave mid morning. That's almost cheaper than going to a Melbourne game and having drinks and a meal.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

How the hell can we possibly win in Tas?
What if it's wet?!
I'm from there, and I wouldn't go.... Our poor players having to put up with cold wintery weather football... Seriously.

Don't laugh I was nearly crying after going out at 5 this morning because we forgot to put the bins out. It took me half an hour to thaw out. Tasmania should be closed down in the winter if it's colder than melbourne. I would go on strike. It would be major hurties if some thug like Viney slapped himself into you in that cold.
Re: Saints v North in Hobart
Played on Sunday.... Wet, cold and during after the game... Sore as all f*** ... It was horrible, dreadful and as always makes me ponder retirement...
But then again, I don't get paid 80-800k to play the game as a job?
And yes ... Freezing this morning. Arctic on the bike riding to work.

I had to umpire under 9s for my kids team on Sunday. I was wondering why I was volunteering that crap. He's on at 8.15 on this Sunday I'm already wanting to cry.
Are you playing Cadbury 9s and pulling up sore or are you still playing Masters?

North Hobart's a beautiful ground. Holds about 20,000 and if it rains ........perfect. Just like being back at Moorabbin!

Re: Saints v North in Hobart
I live in Hobart and the brisk mornings enable me to wear my Great Saints jumper to work - which I am wearing right now.
I will be going to the game. A great chance to see the lads as well as give a cheer to Dally.
We always knew there would be some dark days (just think back to our practice matches!) but it was always going to take some time and the new brigade are showing something.

I have booked flights to Hobart and plan to brave the weather to go to the game, does anyone know when and how we can get tickets
Re: Saints v North in Hobart
I'm a local and got tickets through the club. They wrote to us a while back and offered the chance to pre-book. Might be worth contacting the club to see if there are any left. General admin seats have sold out, however you might be able to access standing still? Bellerive oval doesn't hold too many unfortunately...saintvic wrote:I have booked flights to Hobart and plan to brave the weather to go to the game, does anyone know when and how we can get tickets

If anyone has a spare ticket for this game lettuce know please, I wasn't exactly expecting this game to be sold out.

Re: Saints v North in Hobart
I'll actually be in Hobart on that day - don't have tickets and have just seen that it's sold out?!?!
Would be incredibly frustrating to actually be there, but not BE there!!
Any tips?
