5 Lenny - hardness and quality on display again
4 Savage - impressed with his work rate and burst play
3 Steven - ball magnet and works hard to give outside support
2 Longer - worked hard all game
1 Shenton - took the game on with his run and dash even if he needs to learn how to use it better

Either do I, and I'm not a fan of the way Joey has played lately...but today he worked hard I thought.
Weller?
Are you happy with his game, or what he brought to the side?
Curious

Happy about Mav's game and what he brings to the team. I'll guarantee he had 500% more tackles than Seany.SainterK wrote:Either do I, and I'm not a fan of the way Joey has played lately...but today he worked hard I thought.

Joey got a few possies, but did stuff all with them.

Re: Votes v Richmond
Cannot believe people putting Joey in the votes.
Nearly all his disposals were cheapies. Didnt assist our cause one bit.
His last month or two has been awful. Going through the motions.

Re: Votes v Richmond
Agree- his poor disposal cost us goals and put the opposition into attack quite a few times..mind elsewhere..same for Steven. None of the midfield deserved a vote on yesterday's shocking effortsCon Gorozidis wrote:Cannot believe people putting Joey in the votes.

Votes could go to Savage, Delaney, Longer, Gwilt and Roo..not sure in what order

Weller tagged Cotchin for the first qtr and half of the second. The result, Cotchin 18 disposals and 3 goals.Bernard Shakey wrote:Dempster? You are delusional!SainterK wrote:Joey

It's amazing how differently people see the same game.BringBackMadDog wrote:Weller tagged Cotchin for the first qtr and half of the second. The result, Cotchin 18 disposals and 3 goals.Bernard Shakey wrote:Dempster? You are delusional!SainterK wrote:Joey

I am certain that Cotchin kicked his 3 goals in the first quarter when resting in the forward pocket (on Shenton) and Deledio kicked his the same way.
I counted 6 goals kicked on Shenton during the day.
I thought Jimmy Gwilt had a shocker, only marginally better than last week.
Armo had a shocker
5 Savage
4 Delaney

2 Weller
1 Minchington for a sparkling quarter and a half

Re: Votes v Richmond
Shenton was not on Cotchin for any of his 1st qtr goals. He stood on the mark once because he had to leave his man to try and spoil as Weller was 50m away. The one that could have been a 50m penalty. Cotchin just kept running forward. Very harsh on Shenton. One of our best IMO.Mr Magic wrote:It's amazing how differently people see the same game.BringBackMadDog wrote:Weller tagged Cotchin for the first qtr and half of the second. Couldn't make it to the game yesterday, but it's good to hear Savage is improving.

Re: Votes v Richmond
Is this the most encouraging result for the year in terms of the age of the top 3 vote getters? And six of the top 8 would be non veterans.
And Savage finished on top while McEvoy's still at Box Hill.
