How do we make money if we're letting them in for free?
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

I suppose we make potential sponsors think we have an audience?Bernard Shakey wrote:How do we make money if we're letting them in for free?

Re: Bring a Mate for Free
Sad that the club's at a point where we're doing 2-for-1 deals.
Does anyone know the specifics about how this would effect any match-day revenue we get from Etihad? If it's not in our favour I'm wondering if they're relying on Tigers fans doing the heavy lifting in terms of the crowd number, or they're taking the risk of copping a whack but having an inflated crowd figure and atmosphere on the day to show for it?

I like the idea. We have done it for at least the last two years and I have brought along friends who are not members of any AFL club on both occasions.
I guess the idea is that we boost the saints support in a game we might have a chance in and maybe pull in a few new members for next year?
No idea if it actually works though.

Maybe a 'bring yourself for free' email campaign for current members?

Re: Bring a Mate for Free
The difference is they're in a position where they can totally take or leave this kind of thing. I dare say it's no coincidence that they chose to offer that in a game against us too. I'm assuming (I can't claim any more than that) that whilst they obviously could do it against an expansion side to boost a monty of a low crowd number (see their GWS game in the dud timeslot), people might actually be willing to bring both Hawks and Saints friends/relatives etc. so there's more to be gained from that. The thing is, they know that coming against us they're still starting from some way back. I'd genuinely love to know how many tickets they sold through that method (and likewise how many we'll sell for Saturday).kosifantutti wrote:Sad that they're at the point of doing 2 for 1 deals.deadman walking wrote:Hawthorn did against us this year

Re: Bring a Mate for Free
Has anyone else having trouble using this offer when logged on, on the Saints site. I am a full member and I can't seem to be able to take up the offer. Have tried to use the instructions given but can't get past "select an event".
Any help would be appreciated
