Re: Saints v Wet Toast - Match Thread
Eagles getting on top lead by 13pts - Saints still in it
Jones kicks a goal after some good running by Minch
Back to 7pts
Hopefully this is our bad quarter

Defensively we are weak in this game, I'm liking the midfield. Hard to tell about the forwards watching on TV, can't see the leads, Lee needs to get onto a couple I think.
No tall has kicked a goal yet. Would love billings to get a bag.

Butcher cant kick though. 1.3 today so far in the SANFL, which is about his usual conversation rate.saintfox wrote:We need to buy another key forward butcher from port would suit

Brown kicks a goal. Good grief! So glad we missed him. Still, how typical that his second goal for the year comes against us! Shocker.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Re: Saints v Wet Toast - Match Thread
At least we saw something for 40 minutes until the umpires took charge and the ducks jumped on for the ride.
This is where need to fight it out, not throw it in and get done by 80 as it started to look the last 15 mins.
Lee, savage showed something finally. Webster stepping up, that 2 wk brain fade might give him a kick up the arse as he was floundering before that.
Midfield needs to lift somehow. Priddis getting a hold of us completley

13pts down at half time
We have shown some fight today but turnovers have been costly and Eagles talls have been getting on top.
Would be nice to be in the game going into the last

Get butcher to do the preseason with roo, roos last few years kicking at goal were woefully this year he's a dead eye dick, they can turn pretty quickly, need to be able to draw the footy and butch can do that, may be get merret from Brisbane while our new kids develop

Generally when you are the bottom rung team you get the bottom rung umpires.
This game you need to duck to get a free

Re: Saints v Wet Toast - Match Thread
weller hard, good evasive skills, can use his body we'll and can take a grab; Delaney good judge of ball in flight, strong, quicker than he looks; savage putting in, cameo's only but possibilities;Webster, billings, longer, shenton, newnes all showing something. lee trying, milera not involved, gwilt too many errors, dempster in last year unless contracted I suspect. Minchi should get a good run in the ones. Good effort thus far, ball movement quicker unless Jones or Dempster have it. too many head down free kicks, roo tunneled and A report should follow. there is a future here
the invisible and the non existent look very much alike
